People already played through the Dlc , meanwhile I don't know where to go after Ludwig. I explored the Area with Saint Adeline and gave her one Brainfluid, because she doesn't accept more right now. I got the key to the Doors after Ludwig and thought it would open the Door with the Bell-Guy too, but it doesn't. Am I missing something?

Yea, the moveset itself is a bit lacking, it plays a lot like a bloodtinge chikage where you constantly have to prepare for a single strong strike
This weapon pretty much does what a bloodtinge chikage does but without the constant health drain and more stagger/shockwaves, so far enjoying cheesing bosses/mobs with constant leap attacks and charged up attacks.
That said I haven't delved deeply into the DLC just yet (just went in, cleared the first area a bit and then went back to finishing the game, level 57 atm) so I can't wait to get my hands on the other weapons aswell
Anything else that I can grab that makes good use of 50 str/25arc?

I've been on ludwig like 8 hours now. All my insight is gone. I just can't deal with it the framerate drops so low you almost need to be psychic to dodge any physical attack. The second stage is vastly easier but when you dodge into him all his obnoxious robe-fabric things block the screen and I can't see what either of us are doing. I fucking hate this.

I just beat ludwig, and I have to say, Valtr is now my favorite NPC summon of all time, and this is my favorite boss fight of all time. Something about just fearlessly going in with your new friend who is based as fuck, and ripping into some beast was super fun, no matter how many times I died. That being said, I just beat ludwig, and talked to him after the fight. Is it possible to execute him and put him out of his misery? has anyone tried it?

The worst part about Orphan is that you can parry almost every attack, yet half of them have such a knockback or stagger during the parry window that you just reel back instead of getting a visceral.
Also I might just be biased, but the visceral window really seems shorter with Orphan than on other enemies.

So far i have figured out that dashing forward is the best way to avoid most of his moves but the issue is whether or not you can stun lock the bastard before he starts flailing around.
Im also using the npc as a distraction/extra damage.

That's what I did solo. Dashing backwards will only get you killed. It's still tough, though. I mostly just kited him with Executioner's Gloves while Valter distracted him. I kept the Choir Bell in my quickslot just in case Valter got to low health and couldn't heal himself. During his second phase, I just spammed the fuck out of ACB while Valter shredded his legs.
I did it. I finally killed Ludwig holy shit. I had to level up to fucking 58 to do it but I finally got the fucker appearentl any more than 18 VIT and you can survive everything but the AOE

It took me a while, but fighting up-close with a fast weapon is exactly what got him. Most of his attacks can't hit you underneath his belly, and successive attacks here can stun and damage his limbs.
Sword mode isn't much different, just add in strafing and get behind him.

First Form:
Dodge to his right and try to get behind him as much as possible. Most of his attacks have a long recovery and you can either charge attack or try and get an auger off him for a backstab. It's relatively easy this phase with only his baseball acid being the hard-to-avoid attack that can hit you. Having a weapon with high hit-stun is also good
2nd Form:
He jumps all over the place but and hits harder but if you pay attention, it should be possible to avoid his attacks. Stay near the entrance because there's a limited range on his lightning attack. When he jumps up to do his acid rain, it's incredibly safe to run under him and do a charge attack when he drops down

You have to progress far into the Fishing Hamlet. Eventually you'll come across a pathway in a waterlogged cave that leads to a patrolling Winter Lantern. Go left and then drop down the ledge. There's a ladder right in front of you, but don't climb it yet. You have to defeat the nearby frog giant and then kill his buddy who drops down once the other one gets to critical health. The second one, when killed, drops the Rakuyo.

Just finished the dlc. Outstanding atmosphere. Absolutely loved the Tower of Latria 2.0, although I think they really missed the oportunity of reintroducing updated mind flayers here imo. It would be such a nice touch and a true homage to the level that inspired this whole game.
Fishing Hamlet is probably one of the most atmospheric areas I've seen in any game. Absolutely fucking loved everything about it. I felt like I was inside the lovecraft inspired movie Dagon (has anyone else seen it?).
Now for some questions, since I'm probably missing a lot of things:
1 - I haven't found the ayy lmao transformation. Can someone point me in the GENERAL direction?
2 - I couldn't find Rakuyo, even though that boss is clearly handling it. Again, care to point me to the general direction?
3 - I didn't find what the people with enlarged heads were talking about. I wore the enlarged head all the time but I didn't hear any water sound anywhere. Is there a secret to be found here? If so, general directions please.
4 - That door at the first floor of the research building with the guy looking for his eyes, how do you open it?
5 - The npcs with enlarged heads, specially that woman asking for brain fluid, the guy treating his plant and etc, is there anything to be done with them here? I didn't find what they were asking for nor could I go manage to go back to the guy treating the plant.
6 - The npc that appears twice, once before Ludwig's room and once at the base of the Research building as soon you step off the elevator, does he go anywhere after that? Is there anything to be done with him?

The second one is a lot easier and has less health, once he drops down try and seperate them and kill him ASAP, that way you have the weapon even if you die.
If you use a Blue Elixor you can drop in undetected, and get a visceral to start the fight.
When they Slip'n'Slide if he has the Tridant, just run because he thrashes around at the end, if it's the unarmed one, roll and get some damage in while he's getting up.

I honestly think they shouldn't have weapons be upgradable.
If anything let weapons and armor have flat stats, but they can be boosted with sockets.
That way you can instantly use weapons and armor you find if you like them while still having an upgrade feature (but said upgrades can be transfered if needed).
For the DLC I just kep using Ludvig's and Tonitrus. I upgraded Moonlight since I like it.
The rest I didn't bother with since I wasn't in the mood to grind twin shards and chunks.

Man, maria is a great fight but she's actually pretty easy. I killed her in I think...5 tries? I quickly figured out that the whirligig's untricked version is quite fast and will stun the shit out of her. So it was literally
1.Parry and riposte
2.run up as she gets up and spam r1, usually stunlocking her for the entire stamina bar worth of attacks
3. attempt to parry the attack she finally gets out after I run out of stamina. Either she gets parried and you repeat, or she staggers and you get enough stamina to back off far enough to avoid the retaliation.
Ludwig gave me much more trouble.
By the way, where the hell do you get shit like the beast clever (threaded clever, whatever you call it) and the minigun? I see people with them at ludwig's and I can't find them.

Fucking everybody uses it. About 90% of players use the saw cleaver or Ludwigs in their first playthrough. Most of these 'variety' streamers find one weapon and playstyle and stick to it autistically rather than expand out and try other stuff. They're only interested in making it from point A to point B as fast as possible for the sake of the camera. The ones that didn't use a guide stay with the saw cleaver because it's on the box art. The ones that did use a guide get Ludwigs and pretend they just stumbled on it accidentally.
Ludwigs itself is a crutch weapon for bad players. It works really well with the 'stay locked on, backpedal mindlessly and play extremely passive' playstyle, because it hits hard without trying and has the reach to punish pretty much any opening you find after 30 seconds of backpedalling and running away. It encourages the dark souls playstyle and lets people get away with never learning to actually use the game's combat system.

It's honestly the most well-rounded and best weapon in the game all things considered.

The cane is a great choice in the long term. It's damage is a bit low at first, but it has excellent scaling and will only get better the more your friend upgrades SKL. Remember not to go past 50 with SKL-- that's the point where diminishing returns kick in.

I've only made 1 character and never gone for NG+. I went for a Str+Arcane build. At level 66 fighting Maria now.

So I'm trying to figure out Ayy mode and it seems that the best way to use it is not even to go full ARC. Using flat gems, I boosted it to 290 at 20 ARC, +6. Each level I put into ARC boosts it by +2 and upgrading it also gives +2. A 50 ARC character will have +58 which isn't that much compared to my Tentacle hammer. Does it scale with insight or something?

I killed Maria second try with beasthunter saif and beast roar.
She just staggers to easily to be any threat, any time she was about to do something I just hit her in the face. I think the saif might actually be a little OP for the speed and range it has.
