So, I'm at the calm lands in FFX, and this game has kinda let me down.
The story so far has done nothing I didn't predict when I was maybe an hour into the game. They really could not have made it more obvious that the Yevon religion is fake shit and that the higher-ups are cunts.
I was hoping maybe for something more, but oh well. I'll be moving on to X-2 next. I've heard it's kinda divisive, but the gameplay looks fun at least.

And 100% dismissal isn't bad, but it also isn't fantastic unless you can chain dismissal effects to lock down a boss. I'd rather have a good purely defensive SB or a strong multi-hit offensive SB than something that's kinda good both offensively and defensively. Nothing terribly game breaking in the upcoming IX and X banners, although the IX banners have a decent array of caster weapons if you're lacking in that department. The VI banner after that is pretty lame, mostly because VI characters suck except Terra. Although Enhancer and Minerva Bustier are on the first and second VI banner, respectively. The III banner (if we even get it) is uninteresting since Tyrfing isn't on it, but it's a rare synergy, so I guess there's that.
Then after the SB celebration and the VII event is the Faris/Krile event for V. Couple new pieces in there, including Bartz's second relic (Brave Blade). Worth investing in if only because the V cast is already so awesome.

Is the newest sunday daily worse for exp than the old one?
I remember I would always egg characters up to 30 so they weren't useless, and then take them to sunday daily. Devoting the entire sunday's stamina to do the heroic version of the daily with a party of 5 would always get them get them high enough to egg to 50 (usually around 47-48).
With the sunday+ dungeon though, last week I ran with only 4 characters and it was just enough to get them from 30-50. This week I had Seifer at 30 and with a party of 5 I got him to only 45. What's going on with this? Is it mathematically worse for exp than heroic?

Heroic always nets 50~60+ thousand experience, plus having to deal with lots of enemies that absorb or null elements, and Sap from Dust Crew. Sometimes a countered Moon Flute to give berserk.
In + it's always 99 thousand with slightly harder hitting enemies with more HP.

If you remember there was an anime titled Final Fantasy: Unlimited. Wasn't really Final Fantasy in a sense though had tropes like chocobos. It had a number of web novels, a novel, drama CD, and two games. The first was a mobile and the second for PC - that Labyrinth one, a card game. Surprisingly a pretty expanded universe for a spin-off that's Japan exclusive except for the anime.

Thanks man. Yeah I'm in the LS but I don't want to beg for help with stuff I can do myself just yet. After a little research it looks like I should do the Rhapsody questline as soon as possible for the exp boost and extra trusts so I guess I'll get on that with my current job asap.

The ++ fight is essentially just a damage race. Bring some kind of physical mitigation and go all out with lightning abilities and your strongest shit. Angel Wing Bolt is a good RW for the fight. By the time the probes separate the boss should be nearly dead. Keep in mind that it can counter physical attacks with a pretty nasty single target move so magic heavy teams are preferable.
In the future we'll get a 4* Knight ability that deals Holy damage and dispels.

My team was Squall, Bartz, Sazh, Lenna, Terra.
Sazh used Vega 42s and Mako Might to lead off with Boon, then hit Full Break, then spammed Magic Breakdown.
Lenna used Protectga and then patiently waited for someone to take enough damage to justify spending an action on Curaga.
The rest of the party spammed the obvious lightning skills, with Bartz falling back on Dismissal when Thundara Blade ran out.
Killed him right after Corona went off, so I lost 1 action medal and 2 damage medals. And you're allowed to lose 3 medals, so it was a cakewalk to get mastery.
The +++ looks hard. Wat do?

It's easy as shit. All you need is Sleep and a black mage with a decently honed Biora and Seifer can't touch you. Then you load up the rest of the party with strong physical attacks and Armor Break/Breakdown and bring a Runic Blade RW because Edea can't kill you as long as it's up and two charges is plenty to kill her.
Probably been posted before but what's the key to the + battle? I'm feeling that advantaliate may be required for boss 2-3 but it's a game of ability juggling.

Well, I gave X-2 a shot. Not really feeling it. Battle system is neat, but a bit chaotic, honestly. And everything else...it's fine, just not really what I want right now.
Also, I love how Lulu is supposed to be pregnant and Wakka is supposed to be out of shape, but they just use the same models that were in X.

FFX-2 is pretty crappy, to be honest. The battle system is a janky, retarded version of the XIII series battle system, the music is worst in the whole series, and everything else has an annoyingly peppy, girly mood that ruins much of the story and lore it tries to tell.

Doctor mog just says "she's untargetable until seifer is dead" so I assumed what made it difficult is you had to kill seifer asap. Its basically just two separate fights though, meshed into one. Kind of like the aeon battles with isaaru.

I have a Vita and the PSN has FF III - X. I tried "emulating" it on PC,but the controls felt kinda wrong and I did too. Oh well, I guess 10 bucks are still a reasonable price.

There are occasional sales just check every so often.
The PS1 version of I and II are perfectly fine. I has the option to retain the original magic system and II has had some not-so-obvious changes (some might say easier).
IV's localization was tweaked a bit if I remember correctly. Some loading time problems, but not as bad as V and VI's.
V's translation is abysmal, and has a glitch that can happen when you try to save. Same loading time problem as previously mentioned.
VI I believe is the same localization as the SNES with some changes. Again, loading times. Then again the loading times may only be really apparent to those who have played them on the original cartridge-based systems and not those who grew up with 5th gen. The PS1 versions still aren't bad if you don't want to do the emulation route or want everything in one place. I hope you were using an actual controller during your attempt though.

What do you guys do at max level in FFXI? I got a level 99 during the free month wehn I got the game. And now I've been trying it out again for the return home campaign but its the same stuff. I don't even want to play the 99 since I have no clue wtf to do to git gud equipment. There's sites that show best in slot gear but don't tell you how/where to get it, and googling the gear or looking it on wiki might as well be written in chinese since i don't know what any of that stuff means.
I just try new jobs now since all I know how to do is level up. And is anyone else on Odin?

I would recommend not using the RM that inflicts sap. I had it on cloud while retaliating, and diablos would set him really low with two casts of gravity, and then I was forced to heal or die to sap.
