Saboteur isnt the only tree for trappers. Assassin and Inquisitor are already on-par or better. And witch is going to have a dank-as-shit elemental subclass which will be a (probably much better) option for trappers as well.
You are still able play your special snowflake builds too.
Like summoner maurader. Just pick up the insane defensive/support nodes in whatever maurauder subclass. BAM! Now you are much more tanky by default and can trade away that BotB or kaoms for something more offensive like vis mortis.
Every subclass is stupid powerful in its own way. And gearing/passives are flexible enough to still allow you to do anything you want despite the polarization of class identity.
