It's insane how half of the xenoblade fans on /v/ are defending the localization. Not gonna say anymore since it's just the same song and dance we've all heard, but it's odd.
Then again during the initial preview of it during the nintendo direct there were so few people hyped for it, even after the proper trailer at E3 until later. Probably a bunch of newer xenofans or fanboys or streamer/LP babbies.

From a player perspective, though, you don't need to worry about it much, because the game will literally tell you what every one of them does and list the perks in the very beginning of the game. Plus you can change at any time, which the game also tells you.

There's so much shit Nintendo of America doesn't cover about this game, every time they do a stream event or something, it's another "let's dick around the first half of Primordia and fight the same enemies as before on a low-level build to showcase the same battle system we've detailed many times! Also we'll not show a single cutscene or do a single quest and your teamates are gonna be Lin and Elma!"
They could show off neat character moments, even create some original ones if they don't want to spoil game content like in the Japanese survival guides. But no, they never delve into anything related to the plot or any of the character's personality or how to manage resources, do faction missions or anything.
This game has so much content and shit to do, yet NoA refuses to showcase any of it.
