This is a mainstream console shooter. Assume nothing of the average player's skill or mechanical prowess, and you'll never be surprised. There are still people who've been playing since day 1 who can't run relic on Y1 raids.
Besides, there's literally no point in the game where you HAVE to fight a Fallen Walker. There's the ones in Devils' Layer and Shadow Thief, but you don't need to run those strikes to progress. There's also the one in one of the Wolves of Mars quest, but you can actually let the Cabal kill it for you.

All armour should be able to be rerolled, if I don't get good INT/DIS gloves for my Titan from Iron Banner and then it goes away, I have no ability to get them again until the next Iron Banner.
I wasn't around during the whole weapon rerolling thing but can see why it would be a little unbalanced, but instead now it's just RNG and if somebody else gets that GG Hawksaw roll and I don't, then I'm at a disadvantage that I can do nothing about.
People like to have tangible goals to work towards and at the moment it's just about crossing your fingers and hoping the moons align in your favour.

This pretty much. I hate that to get a definite drop of a certain piece from Trials/IB, I need to wait like a month to get it. When Trials was up you at least had a definitive roll that you could buy (which Bungie said we would have, but LOL). I hate seeing all my friends getting Int/Disc pieces while I get stuck with Str rolls.

Weapon rerolling to me is imbalanced and you'll have people constantly using the same annoying guns and it'd probably be even worse now with all this high-impact high-aim assist memery with snipers. Pulse Rifles would be the end. Nothing would compete with them. Before you say "LOL ITS ALREADY LIKE THAT" it's not. Usually I can counter most Pulses with a Bullet-hose style AR, or something like Jade Rabbit that at least goof your opponents up and kill them while they're confused. I wouldn't want to live in a world where everyone has perfectly rolled headseeker/counterbalance/Hand-Laid stock Hawksaws. Not fun. I know you mentioned keep it on IB weapons only, but I disagree.

Actually that's what I aim for, but in this specific instance, I was talking about my Titan. I go for int/str rolls on my Nightstalker as well. Smoke is my favorite thing.

Literally this. It's fucking nothing. It's just going to be 320 version of the raid with conditions for the bosses. Woopty fucking do. Reskinned old content is not new content. It won't bring anyone back. They should be making a fucking 320 VoG, Crota's End and Skolas' Revenge to keep them relevant. It's reskinned content, yes, but it gives us a bit more to do. Give them armour that caps at 310 to keep playing King's Fall if they must, just something fucking else.
