I don't, but to be honest the vast majority of the money was spent very early on, when there was only one or two 6* in the pool. Also the fact that I haven't pulled in the last 3 SF due to lack of interest probably doesn't help.

Progress in this game isn't measures by how far into the story you are. It's measured by your pirate level, how many good units you have, and how high level they are.
If you are lower level with not so many usable units, Smoker is a good guy to have because his ability isn't type specific and can help anywhere you expect to take damage. That being said if you are trying to assemble a dex team, Zoro or Apoo may be better for the dex buffs they give.
Brook on the other hand is a subpar qck unit who's ability could work in niche teams but not for everyone. Whatever you need more, farm. If you wanna go for Ryuma/Tashigi, just farm until you get one and do the other.

You can keep feeding units after their maxed to keep raising their skill or cotton candy, but they won't benifit from any exp. He's not bad evolved, but Lucci, Kaku, and Hina are all better. If you have them from the previous fortnights, use them. Also, Thatch, Ace, and Jozu are fantastic pulls you could get from Rare Recruit.

Units like Kaku you can evolve and they'll keep the special levels since it's the same in both forms. Having TNami is a good start since Int is easy as piss to build crews and use well. If you can manage to farm out Mr. 3, Broggy/Buggy, and Crocodile you'll be set on a team. You should also maybe farm units like Arlong and Alvida until their islands come back as both are great units you'll use a bunch. Saving your gems for sugo is your best plan right now

As soon as you get Broggy you'll get better int units from Sugo/RR. Just stop dog. It happened when I farmed 2 months for Dorry. I got Marco and Shanks right after I got Dorry. The only drawback is RNGesus has given me no love with Int Captains. Don't walk down my path brother. Slot Storm isn't even worth it dawg.

Other than being a cool character he's also a great int slasher with a decent special that can be manipulated if need be. He's the logical replacement for Vista on slasher crews
