Mind you, that's only THIS game. In YW2 if you change your date you get locked out of the crank a kai for a full day.

Why is the map useless if you're not trying to progress the story?
I'm not 100% sure how to get to some of the areas that Watch Upgrade quests require me to, and usually find them through headaches and luck.
I'm at the construction site, but see no Yo-kai. I don't remember how to get to the Flower Shopping Hall or whatever it is, and the map is no fucking help.

That's just to grind for coins to get Crank-A-Kai exclusive Yo-Kai, not for EV's. It does nothing competitively, or even to the game. It is mainly used for people who want to complete the medallium, or simply want a specific Yo-Kai. The Crank-A-Kai in the first game is downright unfair, so this method is completely warranted. Second game is the one with the penalties, but since nothing is exclusive to it, there's little reason to cheat it.

Censorship aside it's alright in being true to the series, but the quality of the voice acting and some of the changes and censorship are just flat out bad. On one hand though, by Japan's standards, the DVD boxsets are really dirt cheap. Like http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/ZMSZ-9711 , figuring out things, there's roughly 20 episodes on there, which might not be a lot for $55 USD, but considering a lot of Japanese dvd volumes come with 3 episodes for not much less, yeah. He doesn't really 'review' them (and even if he did it's all Nippon which I can't understand), but he opens them up, builds them, puts stickers on them, all while recording, and usually in complete silence. His videos are strangely relaxing, though some have funky upbeat music on them.
If you scroll through the videos in that playlist you'll find them. For example video #2 is a sort of compilation video. Kyuubi is number 20 in the playlist, and if you listen to it with no music playing and with headphones on late at night, you feel a tingly ASMR sensation all over your body.
