Alright, this is going to be a bit of a blogpost, so if you don't want to read a lot i'd advise skipping this post.
A little over a year ago I found /v/scape. At the time I was a college sophomore with way too much free time and far too little ambition. When I stumbled across this thread I thought it would be something cool to play for a few weeks, and that I'd get bored quickly. Boy was I wrong.
/v/scape has one of the best communities, maintaining a transient population of new players with a core of loyal older players that keep the economy steady. You're all so very open to new players, and are always willing to help (even though you hide it behind a façade of intolerance towards new players and their stupid questions).
I never expected to spend quite as much time on /v/scape as I did, yet a year later I'm still here. You've been there as a loyal bunch of friends and acquaintances throughout a turmultuous year. So thank you all, /v/scape.
I'd just like to say thank you specifically to a few special individuals:
Cameron: for being a friend to a new player and making /v/scape feel fun.
BasedWiggins: For being around and being both kind and a nuisance at the same time, the fun thorn in the side and the joker in the deck.
Latent: For griefing the wilderness and being bost a boogeyman and a hero.
Pickles: For being a great admin and a great friend to all of us.
Bobster: Just like Pickles, you do so much for this server and have given all of us so much of your time selflessly.
