HE shells need their maximum splash damage increased to 2000, and HEAT shells to 1000. Prowler shells would be fine with 1300 and 850, respectively. Right now it takes like 3 shots to kill someone wearing flak armor even if you hit right next to them. Direct hits still kill them, but why not just use AP if you need to get direct hits anyway? It makes no sense that a tiny frag grenade does more damage than a huge tank shell filled with explosives. The Dalton and Hornets could also have 2000 splash damage. Or at least nerf flak armor to 20% damage reduction like nanoweave.

It doesn't make sense from that perspective either. Tanks are just useless unless you have 20 of them, and at that point there are not enough targets for everyone. A lone tank will get rekt by one invisible lancer heavy, MANA turret or C4 fairy and not even know what hit him.
It's bad balancing from DBG. They have listened to MLG infantrysiders too much. Fuck off to CS:GO, COD or Battlefield if you think vehicles should be irrelevant.

That would be totally fine if there were limitations to the number of tanks allowed per fight. The problem is that literally everyone can pull a tank. This means that everyone would pull HE, then the opposing faction would pull AP because they can't walk 2 meters without being disintegrated and suddenly no one plays infantry and PS2 turns into a futuristic World of Tanks.
They should just remove HE and AP altogether. No more HE farmers and no more AP Prowler sniping and Vanguard AA. HEAT is the only one that's balanced.

It takes like 4 rear hits to kill a tank with hornets. Sure it says 2000 damage but they have their own resistance type. Also it's not trivial to hit with them. Not saying that they need buffs though. ESFs shouldn't be tank killers.

Miller is THE server if you want challenging gameplay in PS2. We talk big, walk big, and carry a huge fucking stick. Some people can't handle the trash talk. That's cool. Some people need that kind of "great job everyone, you tried your best so your all winners" kind of gameplay. You're not going to find that on Miller This is the adult server. No trophies for second place here.
I've played on all the PS2 servers. There are some very good players on the others. But nothing like what we have here. I see outfits and players on the other servers who do things that simply would not be possible on Miller, because if they tried that here they would be destroyed again and again. Miller players, and outfits are simply top notch. Whether VS, TR or NC, no other server has the same level of talent.
Go ahead, flame me. But if you ever want to improve your score, come play on Miller for a while, then go back to your old server. Going and playing on Emerald or Cobad for me is like playing against bots.

The way the default shield and adrenaline shield protect you is that they offer "extra" HP. The shield is just extra hitpoints. The default shield recharges at a fixed rate.
Adrenaline shield shields you the same way but recharges differently. It recharges a lot slower than the default shield but gets a percet of its charge back whenever you get a kill. Adrenaline shield is NOT for new or inexperienced players. Just stick to the default shield or resist. Also the amount you get back to the shield per kill scales by level and it's only really useful at max rank, which is like 2.7k certs.
Resist shield recharges fairly quickly and works by giving you 43~% damage reduction when it's turned on. You can keep it on for a long time. The thing about resist is that because it's damage resistance, not just a flat shield, you have to turn resist shield on before you take damage otherwise it's not as useful. A reactive shield (like the default that just gives you more health) is better for newer/inexperienced players who don't know maps, don't know how to pace fights, etc. Resist takes getting used to because to get the most of it you have to have it on before you start taking damage. Also nanoweave doesn't stack with resist. Use advanced shield capacitor with it.

I think switching classes disappears the c4. And in my (only recent) experience, setting it off with fury is unreliable. Most tonks just drive away. You have to bail, watch the flash hit the tonk, wait a second for the server to catch up then detonate.

Resist requires a contrived situation to be worth using - you have to turn it on before you get hit, you have to use it in a situation where you don't need to move very far, and it's not nearly as effective if you use it reactively. And while resist is better against someone going for headshots, these people only make up 1% of the people you ever come across. 99% of the time you are going to be better off with adrenoweave.
And you don't need to use ASC with resist, either. Use whatever you want. ASC isn't really a big deal - if you can get in cover then you're probably good, whether or not it takes you 5 seconds or 10 seconds to recharge.
Use adrenaline + nanoweave for sheer survivability in the majority of situations.
Use resist + whatever you want if you're good and know at what you're doing and you want some utility (bandolier is my preference).
Also keep in mind that a heavy 1vs1 fight will typically last ~3 seconds in actual practice. Your resist shield lasts a max of 10 seconds and you have to turn it on prior - which means you also need to move into position if on offense, or be good at prediction if on defense. That can take a second or three in itself either way. Adrenoweave starts at 2125 hitpoints, drops 43 on activation and then burns through the 268 shields difference at 50 points per second, which means it takes about 5 seconds for it to reach the same level of protection as resist, but you can activate it the instant you run into someone - you don't need to have any kind of elite prescience ability. (Which is the biggest reason resist is NOT a noob-friendly shield)
Adrenaline is also useful even at its lowest tier, it just means longer downtime between uses, which isn't largely a big deal because 80% of the time you don't actually need your shield turned on anyways.

I did better with the GD-22S than any other NC LMG when I played NC.
It's a good gun. I wouldn't quite call it underrated, but it definitely isn't bad.
I also really liked the Gauss Saw, but it takes a lot of practice to git gud with it, and you get punished for fucking up even a little bit.

It has the most up-time. Basically it recharges the fastest and you can get back into fights. Also, it does not drain upon taking damage and lasts up to 10 seconds. So you can use the full bar for maybe 5-6 fights before you are forced to let it recharge, which isn't that long. Usually paired with the advanced shield capacitor so you can have the most health at all times.
Think of it as a stronger, but recharging nano-weave armor.
It also protects against headshots. Basically its the best for 1v1 fights.

The MAX AV weapon spam needs to stop. No one uses AI anymore. There are Pounder and Comet MAXes everywhere and they are just fine against AI. There is literally no reason to pick AI weapons when infantry dies just as fast(if you can aim) and MAXes take only a second more to kill. I pulled a MAX today and I couldn't do shit because all the others were using AV. Holy fuck. With falcons you can play peek-a-boo and get kills but that doesn't allow you to push. With shotguns, I will only win if I am at literal dick sucking range with no slugs. They shouldn't have treated MAXes as vehicles. They should be a different, unique unit with its own resistances against AI AND AV weaponry. C4, Decis, AV nades, enemy MAX AV weapons, what the fuck? A HA is more useful in 99% of the situations.

Miller is THE server if you want challenging gameplay in PS2. We talk big, walk big, and carry a huge fucking stick. Some people can't handle the trash talk. That's cool. Some people need that kind of "great job everyone, you tried your best so your all winners" kind of gameplay. You're not going to find that on Miller This is the adult server. No trophies for second place here.
I've played on all the PS2 servers. There are some very good players on the others. But nothing like what we have here. I see outfits and players on the other servers who do things that simply would not be possible on Miller, because if they tried that here they would be destroyed again and again. Miller players, and outfits are simply top notch. Whether VS, TR or NC, no other server has the same level of talent.
Go ahead, flame me. But if you ever want to improve your score, come play on Miller for a while, then go back to your old server. Going and playing on Emerald or Cobad for me is like playing against bots.

What if Daybreak made like 3 different rotations of continents? Like at the start of every month, the first rotation is revealed and played through and whichever faction had the most locks in a week, gains a monthly victory point. Then the rotations go over as the month passes and when the rotations are done, the faction that won the most VPs, gains something, like an XP boost or whatever.
It would certainly make it more about winning rather than farmin certs.
