Forsaken are immortal and are maintained via necromancy or stictching new body parts to themselves. But they have to constantly keep themselves from succumbing to the rot, where basically their brain rots and they become a mindless zombie. Some book in the DK area mentions that proper hygiene can delay or even halt the process of decay. But they also have to deal with causing constant suffering or else get wracked with horrible pains.
Basically yes, they're immortal, but it's a shitty eternity and you'd be better off just dying.

Green fire has ruined transmogging for my warlock.

You got pretty lucky for a new player. A player with the engineering profession can make that mecha gnome which will offer a quest that you can take once a day for your whole account. You usually get junk but you have an extremely small chance at some rare mounts. Mostly you get some vendor trash that sells for next to nothing, and some sells for moderately decent amounts like what you got.

The commander of my garrison were kidnapped months ago by the Iron Horde. We thought she was dead but apparently she's still alive and is a rape toy for the Iron Horde soldiers. Talks was held on if to rescue her and the acting commander, which is a really backstabbing bitch, said we don't have the resources to spare on a rescue mission. A squad of elite Rangari the commander saved a year ago volunteered to go but the acting commander told them if they left they would be branded as traitors. I've secretly met with other soldiers in the garrison to form a ragtag rescue squad while carefully avoiding the soldiers that I know are loyal to the acting commander. They are so dishonorable. Just because the acting commander regularly has sex with them to ensure their loyalty to her they totally forsaken our true commander that saved their very LIVES.
