It's a Tales of spin-off that plays something like Fire Emblem. There's some bullshit plot about amnesia and everyone being in a dream world. Haven't played it myself.
If anyone's interested, this is the written language used in Zestiria. On the left is the "modern" writing system, which is just an English cipher, while on the right is the ancient tongue the monoliths and stuff are supposed to be written in.
So yeah, for whatever reason Rose's name is rendered as "Roser." The best I can think of is that they were looking at it as Rosé (which is how early material had it), but instead of using the accent, used a French rendering of the same sound.

So after playing ToZ for 60 hours, I noticed something. I really don't like this game and this is a first for me. I loved every Tales game that came out but this one I'm not having fun.
I thought that maybe I'm just getting bored of all games so I popped in ToX2 and I enjoyed it, though the bill system is annoying and stupid, I generally having fun. The characters fit, everyone is unique, likable cast, fun battle system ect.
In ToZ everyone seems to be out of place, like they dont belong in the party. I wasn't one of the guys who was upset that Alisha left the party but it makes more sense that she belongs in the main cast. Rose seemed to be just put in there. Hell, even that one knight that taught Sorey the Arte looks like he belongs in the party. I duuno..
I just hope that Star Ocean 5 learns from ToZ's mistakes and doesn't become a mediocre game.

Strong cast is true to all Tales game, though. They always have a really cheesy/bad plot, Zestiria's was exceptionally weak. It's the skits, post-battle quotes, and character interactions that generally really shine. Skits took a while to pick up in Z and are good, post-battle quotes are unfortunately generally ass, and interactions are... hit and miss. It's suffered from the shitty writing of the story.

Honestly, Edna and Zaveid are my current favorite Zests. Meebo close behind. Edna's bullying and Zaveid emanating sex all the time is actually entertaining and Mikleo being caught in between as well as making funny quips keep me going. Edna's dungeon was actually fun because I managed to catch the Minatarous (?) in like 1 try plus her dialog upon entering.
Though, like many things with this game, I see more wasted potential.

They pile on the troubles and then don't let you help her with anything, you can tell how much she means to Sorey early on but they snatch her away and only let you peek through the window into her suffering now and then.
Her only part in the ending isa very quick clip that happens at the same time as the final battle, she isn't shown at all in a time skip, she doesn't even get mentioned by name in the written epilogue,and not only will her DLC never be finished but she was shown up by Rose in it too.
It's easy to see they had a lot planned for her and the party to deal with and then gave it up for Rose, Maltran was a gigantic waste of potential.

For yourself, pick the best stat boosts you'd want. For the AI, pick titles so that it'll influence their gameplay. ie. don't put mikleo on staff duty and don't put edna on umbrella girl or whatever. Make sure your seraphim are not using their shitty melee attacks.

If you're underleveled turn the difficulty down to get more exp. Or go around and fight more of the mutant hellions, one of those=level up for everyone that lives, plus everyone's max HP goes up which gives you more survivability.

I know it sounds like overkill, but because of the delay of casting and the fast pace of battle, their healing probably wont get to you until youre at 50% hp. Changing that greatly improved my survivablility until I leveled up more and got access to better skills.
