Here's what I'm afraid of about that. It's nice, don't get me wrong. I think a fundamental flaw in our away missions is discovery can not be a core feature of the away mission. People will open that shit up and take a look the minute its out so they can find out what's at the end and how to get there without experimentation.
But here's the problem. You find out how to make cyanide. And what do you do? You tell your friends you jerk off with in steam/skype. Pretty soon that's how all the secrets are. Old players know, new players don't. We already have that in a sense. There's so much to know that I don't think one person knows everything about this game. For instance, did you know that you can boobytrap a crate by adding a wire and electropack to it, stunning anyone that opens it? When was the last time you saw that done?
Sekrits quickly lead to the knows and the know nots. I'd rather some things be kept secret, like away missions. It would keep them fresh and enjoyable for as long as possible.
But chems? I prefer our way honestly.
