anon pls... Ninjahax and OoThax are first level entry points to homebrew. You use them install second level entry points (like ironfall if you got it in time or menuhax).
Also oothax is harder to get since you need some other 3ds that has already homebrew.
tl;dr: get cubic ninja. enter homebrew. install menuhax.

People with hardmodded Vitas can dump and restore NANDs, and even use hybrid 3.18+3.52 firmware for PSN spoofing purposes. It's likely that it works for games too, so it's not completely impossible.

Using the firmware downloader in the newest rxtools nightly but it doesn't generate a firmware.bin file when its finished downloading what it needs. It insteads lists 3 files in the firm folder. Is this a python issue?

if you have a n3ds and are able to follow some instructions you might check out smashhax aka beaconhax (also works with the demo).
Compared to the other entry points its the most complicated one, but still doable. But hey, you wont need any kind of extra game since the demo also works
