>What is Blade & Soul?
Blade & Soul is a Korean fantasy martial-arts MMORPG developed by Team Bloodlust(NCsoft). The game is heavily grounded in Chinese culture and martial-arts, and was praised for its dynamic combat and high skill-cap PvP. Currently in Korea, its one of the most played games and even has an esports scene that is fairly popular.

Currently there are 8 classes with only 7 on NA release. There is no trinity of roles but instead, certain classes act as tanks in PvE while most classes have a self heal or lifesteal ability. Another unique thing is how classes can interact with each others CC to use certain abilities, such as grabs and tackles.

The North American Version of Blade & Soul was recently announced and is entering Closed Beta Testing soon.

It's the same for most fighting games. Even if you don't play much or not all you can follow along rather easy.

LBM is waaaaaaaay more fun than BM in my opinion. Everything just feels very fast and you feel like you have a lot of impact with all of the mobility and AOE. BM plays clunky compared to him but it's basically impossible to die once u know how to use counter
Summoner is very cute too, I probably just have a soft spot for it because of the cat, but the class is very strong in PvE, which can also be a con because you can basically let your cat tank everything and then kill them with spells (easy af)

There are no real tanks. Whoever's doing the most damage will pull aggro. BMs, KFMs, and Destroyers probably have the best tools for handling it but in real endgame play there is no one dedicated tank and everyone should be ready to handle mobs on them one way or another.

You can dash without their back facing you, you just won't go into stealth. Distance closers are never useless if you know how to actually play the game. Assassins have a skill that attacks an enemy then jumps like 10m away. You can use your 2 to close the distance and follow up with a combo, as that attack can be specced to stun.
Try getting to a higher level before calling a skill useless.

Those are sliders set to essentially the absolute limit of non-uguu kawaii.
Features to make her as mature as possible are already used, like eye positions raised, nose and mouth lowered. Jaw and chin lengthened. Cheeks minimized. Blah blah. Everything to not make her not look like an alien, but it's literally impossible to not make a freak.
The face is one thing, but holy shit the body model and sliders are garbage.
The torso, waist and legs are so well defined for the rest, but are utter shit for Lyns. Even if you can make them as tall as Jins, they're just freakishly huge children.

Avoid the bombs. There's nothing you can do about the axes other than hurry up and kill them with 2 and 4 (if you spec'd for the fire kick). Bombs that aren't counting down should be thrown at the boss for a shitton of damage, or at the mobs who are throwing things at you.
You're going to want to kill yourself when you get to the dungeon with the Ice and Fire FM adds. For that one, spec your counter to give you immunity to one attack, so you can counter the ice and iframe the fire, or vice-versa. Focus down the ice FM, because being slowed/unable to dodge will fucking ruin you.

LBM Spin can be specced to negate/deflect damage while also dealing damage. Their V can also be used 3-4 times in a row to deal (relatively weak) damage, but they get healed for 100% of that damage and are invincible during its animations.

Use ice palm to freeze him in place and prevent dashing. Spec your 1 to deflect within .5 seconds and spam it when you think they're about to change places with you. Use distance to your advantage. If you manage to freeze them within Q/E range, sidestep behind them and fucking destroy them because they can't turn around and target you while frozen/rooted.

Aggro generation doesn't make someone a tank. I had aggro generating skills with Threat accessories at 45 and still lost aggro because by choosing those skills+accessories, I was missing out on the pure dps that everyone else was using instead.
It's all just a dps race. If you join a party and say "I'm tank", then you're a bizarre individual. The aforementioned classes do have combos that require them to be hit in order to use though, which is where that split second of provoking skills comes in (even though it'd be easier to counter/block/guard a cone attack).
Although, as all three classes you're just anicanceling endlessly anyway (not so much on BM) so it really doesn't matter what your other specs are. You're probably going to choose doubling your dps over generating hate (for no particular reason).

Proper stats is more important than level, but more often than not higher levels bopae will be better than the lower leveled ones. It isn't until you get to 45 that you have multiple sets to choose from that correspond with your playstyle (Pohwa will be the best bopae set for our version in the nearest future. Current best is probably Lost Lyn).
At level 20 you're probably using the bopae you bought with the green stones, which is fine. (Or from Blackfleet, which is even finer). The level 29 set I think is the Golden Giant set, WHICH FUCKING SUCKS DICK. No, really, it gives a shitton of defense but unironically has less hp than your level 20 set which is stupid. Don't use it. Your next set will probably be either the Great Desert set (level 31 I believe, and bought from the npc next to the spinning wheel at Tokumn* Inn), or the Flame Beast set of 36. You're really going to want the Flame Beast set with Crit as the 3rd option because you'll be using this until level 45.
Yes. If you don't breakthrough all of your items you're severely gimping your damage. However, once you get to the point where you accessories need Moonwater Plain Evo Stones, ignore them until endgame unless you're retardedly rich. At that point, focus solely on your weapon.
You're going to want to enchant your 36 Flame Beast set (purple), and whatever you choose at level 45, with crit bopae. Prior to that, don't bother because as you said, you change them every 5 seconds.

Holy christ, man. You will never not get Dura's ring from that dungeon. Buying it for 18 silver wasn't a good idea. Grind the dungeon a few times then sell the rings to get your money back.
Go to any given merchant and click the little bag icon at the bottom of the merchant's window. It will sell all of your "junk", which is the grey items you're carrying, minus the health potions. Do you have VIP? Put that faction outfit in your wardrobe. If you don't have VIP, whisper Runesca and I'll gift you it.
There's too much to look at right now. Click the "sell junk" option then open your inventory and click the square option at the bottom right of the window, which should say "Sort items by type". They do, but not how you're thinking. Some classes are pretty good at controlling/holding foes. (Destroyer is a pretty good example.)

I don't really know where you would find builds for it unfortunately. It's not exactly hard to understand though, once you get to 18ish you should have started unlocking skill points and if you just read over the different trees it will show you in green what a point in that skill will do to enhance the skill. Some will enhance it for PvP, some will give you AoE damage, some help you heal.
I'm sure there's a site you could see a list of the skill trees on, but ultimately you should read over them so you understand how to use the abilities you choose correctly. Some of them directly change what conditions you need to use skills under to get the effects you want to, so just seeing a build on where to put points wont help you enough.

If you're playing a Destroyer, Kung-Fu Master, or Force Master, you should always be a Gon. If Assassin or Blade Master, pick Jin. If Blade Dancer or Summoner, you're stuck with Lyn. There's absolutely no reason you should be playing the disgusting bird woman race.

It's shit-tier hotfixing to poorly balanced skills, and BnS is no different.

The point was... NBA and NFL get tons of cosmetic freatures that would appeal to someone like yourself, but the entry in the door is so high that only the best players can get in, and no casual would ever ruin it for them.
The same can't be said for MLG because casuals still effect the actual game itself. What was at MLG one year doesn't mean it'll be there the next year due to the next version of the game having dramatic changes to the core gameplay. See: all those other games no one remembers at MLG during the 2004 - 2010 seasons.

It is a PvE centric game, yes. There is no mandatory pvp in the game and only 1 faction quest requires you to kill another player. There is no benefit whatsoever to open world pvp, and the only thing arena pvp benefits is arena pvp, as nothing carries over into the pve content, making them almost entirely separate entities.
However, people feel like solely because of the combat that it's pvp focused. It's not. It just has action combat. You could never touch pvp throughout the course of the entire game and won't be worse for wear. A vast majority of updates deal directly with pve, with pvp getting big updates every blue moon.

You're missing the point. That entire run was muscle memory. Sure it was painful the first day or two of testing the run out and figuring out what to do. Hell maybe even a week. But after that point it's all muscle memory and timing tied with the same concentration as any other player focusing on something.
All that matters is how fun the game is to play and how popular it is that make games good.
