You may have noticed that modeled tank systems are reasonably realistic, however not everything has been created yet (although there are some things not to be found in other recent projects about tanks). This can be explained by what we want from adding the tanks to our sim.
We made basic functionality to show potential possibilities of controllable tanks in our project and understand the player reaction to them. Mainly, would you like them? We demonstrate our approach (realism over balance, cooperative play in one vehicle, detailed systems modeling) in some kind of a Kickstarter-esque manner. If the existing community and new players would like the new toys, we'll assign more resources to improve and expand on the basis we have now, adding new systems, more detailed damage modeling, other features, and new vehicles.

Church III is a xp printing machine, it's not a bad purchase if you're itching to train a RU heavy crew and make some easy credits.
I'd personally get comfy at Tier VI or VII before I could justify buying a premium tank, but everyone is different

Churchill 3 is a good prem, and it's a good russian heavy crew trainer too because it has a higher xp coeff than any other tank

feel free to take your time at Tier VI and grind out your crew skills, free exp, and credits for stuff like Improved Ventilation and Gun Laying Drives.
the grind between tier VI and VIII can feel especially brutal for newcomers, as you're going to start being severely punished for any mistakes you make by the more experienced players. crew skills and equipment are now mandatory, stock tanks are off-limits and a supply of gold rounds is essential

WG keep trying to push full-on p2w, but the playerbase kicked up such a fuss they've scrapped it and are trying to appease us with clan war campaigns right now.
You can very easily play up to Tier VIII and never need to spend any money at all. You'll earn enough gold and credits from monthly/weekend giveaways that you won't need to worry about garage slots, equipment costs, or or premium time. Once you get to Tier VI you can start working through the individual missions and rack up credits and equipment that way...or join a clan and do strongholds for even more credits.
Past that Tier VIII sweetspot, however, it becomes a struggle. I have three Tier IX tanks that I don't want to grind because it's too easy for me to lose credits doing so. I have another two Tier IX tanks unlocked that I can't purchase right now because I don't enough credits and I don't want to sell the Tier VIII machines that precede them because they'refunto play. So I either have to buy premium time, a premium tank, or play a dozen games at low/mid-tier just to keep earning credits.

3601 vs 3001P sadly is closer than it should be. The gun stats are barely different, while the 3001P actually has some mobility to make the shitty 88 work outside of tier 6. The extra hull armour on the 3601 doesn't matter outside of tier 6, though the HP means it can survive two Russian 122 shots while the 3001 cannot.
The only thing it really has over it is the Waffe gun option which can actually pen the front of bias-3s with APCR and is generally better in every way but alpha.
Fuck SerB for ruining that tank because it was competing with his precious KV-1S.

No. You CAN do that in the E 50M and you can do it well, but the machine really excels at midrange. It has an incredible upper front plate and can bounce shells from the vast majority of opponents, depending on your angling. Just stay far enough away that it's hard for them to shoot the front of your turret and realize that you WILL be out DPMed by basically every other medium, so don't trade.

The other line from tier 7-9 are awful tanks. They have somewhat better medium tank guns and speed, but don't have the turret and depression that makes mediums actually useful.
The rest of Obj 268 line plays more or less exactly like the SU-152, so if you don't really like it I'd suggest moving on to another line.

You can't really relocate if your team is being pushed and you have a chance of being spotted, which does happen on a lot of maps. But of course you should relocate. It doesn't really help too much against counter-battery though because if they're watching for you chances are you're too sluggish to get out of splash which is generally a 1 shot by the time their shell arrives (unless you're in some french speed demon)
