I don't think all of these nerfs are bad or made without any kind of logical reason (I think they want to make Ryu more footsies based than his version in the first beta), but I agree he lost some of the fun the character had during the first beta.

whenever CC2 and Bamco decide to make a fighting game over a JoJo game, which will never happen. They would have to drop many stylistic choices in favor of better ways to improve the game itself i.e. stable 60 FPS(instead of a choppy 30), better balancing, removal of kokki guard (make it only activate from back and not back and/or down-back), better anti-airs for the entire cast, more recovery on jumping attacks (or just less hit/block stun).
HftF & ASB are fun to play casually but anyone who tells you that either of them is not kusoge is lying to you or just plain stupid.

While All Star Battle was a bit janky, I felt that it had some good ideas that needed some extra polish. For example, the fact that Stand characters had two sets of normals, one for Stand Off and Stand On was pretty cool. With Stand characters having two sets of normals, this meant that their "function" as a character differed between modes, for example, Jotaro's Stand Off mode was mainly used for his superior jump attacks and basic combos while Stand On mode was used for spacing and combo extentions; Bruno's Stand On mode was more of a fast character that annoyed characters in neutral with his teleports and mobility (like Yosuke from Persona) while his Stand On mode was used to deal damage.
That was something I wished Persona 4 Arena adopted as opposed to "congesting" both Persona user normals and Persona normals in one character. With Stand characters being designed this way, you have mechanics such as Stand Rush which allow the Stand user to act independentally from their Stand during certain Stand On specials which allow for some nifty combos and setups as you can see in the DIO comeback video that one anon shared above.
Again, the game itself feels janky at times, some characters just feel "incomplete" such as Koichi where they had no idea where to take that character as opposed to Jotaro and Bruno as mentioned before.
Also combos are incredibly simplistic as they're mainly just
[Light > Medium > Heavy > Special > Any type of cancel]xN > Super
for the most part. Yes there's Counter Hit and Crouching states but they don't open up any additional routes like most fighting games do due to how, again, how simplistic the combo system is.

Anti-Airs in this game feel non-existant? Only way to punish an anti-air is with the silly Stylish Dodge (Instant Block) mechanic and even so, outside of the aforementioned mechanic, there's not much of a risk in staying in the air since you can't get anti-aired into combo like in other FGs. (The only exception is Akira since Spitfire crumples, and I suppose you can include SDing into a punish combo but that doesn't really count IMO?)
Most normals in this game barely have any function where they just feel like combo filler with very few inbetween (outside of crouching lights) serving as decent spacing tools.
Those are most of the issues I personally had with the game that I could think of at the moment but despite these problems, this game was some sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. Hopefully CC2 hasn't forgotten about All Star Battle what with Eyes of Heaven coming out soon and they intend on making an even better sequel...

they would have to change many of the effects like special moves, HHA, and some GHAs to make the game run at a stable 60 FPS for instance.
Almost, if not all, moves in ASB are taken from panels in the manga and other art from the series so some would have to be changed or made into some new (original) looking moves to give characters better tools/moveset. For example most medium and heavy attack have no use in neutral or for anti airs because all they are good for is combo filler due to no good horizontal/vertical hitboxes. Command grabs have almost no use since you can jump as soon as you see/hear the activation and still get away because they are just so slow but this isn't a stylistic change as much as a balancing issue.
Some characters also feel incomplete like Koichi & Rohan and would need more original moves or scraping something from the manga to add to them.
Just a few examples because I don't want to write too much because i'm lazy.
