I mained Frost in WoD. It's a very simple spec that is surprisingly not boring. You should try one now since they're very easy to pick up and are only getting one major change in Legion (which is a buff). My problem with the Mage is the reliance on talents like Rune of Power and Prismatic Cystal which feel really clunky and annoying to use.

The ring is an abortion for new players and new alts. It's so commonplace, most groups won't even bring you for raids for lacking a ring, it's the fucking cape all over again. I don't know how the weapons will be graded, but it isn't as apparent as the ring of cape though.

Rune sucks, but its fairly big and you can have two down at a time. The biggest annoyance is that it only lasts 3 minutes and isn't instant so you gotta replace it a few times per encounter. The upside is that your other talent choice in the Rune tier, Incanter's Flow, is only a minor dps decrease from rune and is completely passive.

You need to get resources, which you mostly need to either wait for the garrison to passively give you, or go out in the world and kill rares. Getting the garrison to level 3 isn't much of a problem as it is doing follower bullshit. Followers can come in several rarities and their skills and traits are all completely random, so it takes forever leveling them to the next rarity and even then you could just get a bunch of followers with fucking awful traits. Then you need to get gear for your followers, which is all timed as well.
Are we gonna get a demon hunter class blog? I dont like not knowing anything about their tank spec.

No dispatch is a godsend. I'll take (what is essentially) rake over dispatch in a heartbeat.
Never really liked combat, so having combat with a new pirate flavor can only be a step up.
And sub look awesome. Shadowstep and assassinate in the same ability, 3 seconds of shadow dance on every finisher, no hemo, backstab has a more lenient positional requirement (pretty much) and the fact that shadowstep and assassinate are in the same ability means we basically get the old Cloak and Dagger talent for FREE.

Not explicitly, but all we have to go on for Legion are these little previews. It's a safe assumption, as most of the previews seem to be the non-talent rotations of the class thus far, to the point where they felt the need to point out what Fireball does for fire mages, even though it had no changes. If dispatch was part of the rotation, it would probably be on the site, even if it had no changes.
For all we know, as an example, Shamans could have a billion things not stated in the preview and be fun as fuck. But probably not.

Frost looks like it will be as dull as live while removing the 2her option when it would be as simple as scaling off weapon DPS like monks and adding a few phantom hits for KM procs. Too much work for a billion dollar Blizzard though. Then there's KM itself: Obliterate only, and that's fine, but still massively devaluing crit and haste. It needs the Chaos Bolt effect but they can't seem to grasp that.
And for me the spec has felt a bit fucked ever since it went on the 1sec GCD. Frost at the tail-end of wrath was incredibly tight and rewarded weaving KM strikes within slim recharge windows. I haven't liked it since losing the split second aspect of it and the idea of more Howling Tickle spam revolts me.
Unholy, I like unholy right now and am ultra worried about it.
The idea of scourge strike spam being our AoE and reliant on 10 seconds of adds every 30 seconds with no movement is absurd with current raid paradigms. I have no faith in them giving us an anchor on DK glyph for it so I think it will be horrendous. 2 ghouls? Who cares? My one ghoul looks like shit and has terrible enough pathing. Festering Wounds isn't a particularly clever or interesting mechanic but it looks very unreliable and will provide DPS gains and losses that we can't control.
Unholy has one of the worst CDs in the game in Gargoyle. It lasts 40 seconds so it can only benefit from potion for 60% of its duration. It's a 3 minute CD so that burst isn't stampede level stuff.
We heard nothing about our utter lack of mobility, nothing about what they visualise our strengths being in Legion as DPS. They added a bit of unholy cleave into frost and a lot of style into unholy but none of it says they have a solid mathematical grasp of the class and its extant issues.

What are some mechanical pets I *should* have at lvl 25? I just realised that I can take a level 1 mechanical pet and have it go first against my garrison's battle pets, have it revive, switch it off and it gets 2200 xp every battle. First battle took it from lvl 1 to 8.
