One other thing that pisses me off about this situation is that, beyond the whole "who fucked up in which ways" debate, the way the game currently ended just kinda doesn't work from a narrative/emotional standpoint.
A big part of playing the game the first time is, you get to learn of Asgore as this evil fucking monster. But the more you play, the more you realize he's a nice guy who is forced to kill children even though he doesn't want to. You feel bad about him, hope you won't have to kill him, and then the whole Flowey thing happens and you feel awful.
So that's your motivation for playing the game a second time: saving the monsters, and also not having to kill the King. And when you do a True Pacifist, what's your reward for that? Goatmom absolutely fucking shitting on the character that was seemingly made to give you motivation to replay the game in the first place, all in a scene that is supposed to be happy, about friends finding each others again?
I don't know, it just doesn't sit well with me. Everybody but Asgore gets a happy ending, even though Asgore is built up to be this dramatic character that you're hoping to save in some way. It wasn't even necessary - Toriel could still have been pissed off at him, sure, and they don't *need* to get back together, but she could have forgiven him, or at least not make him cry in front of your friends and refuse his apologies. (especially when you only need to think for 30 seconds to find reasons why she doesn't have a moral highground on the situation)
It just feels so fucking gratuitous, both from Toriel as a character, and from Toby as a writer.

Asgore was really a tragic character i mean he lost two children all because of the humans in the village and humans in general anyone will go in a rampage but at same time he know the wrong of his plans later and just wait that no human will ever fall the underground. He just wants the happiness of everyone and he also deserves happiness, poor guy even before fighting him i know he will be a kind and loving fatheri even went to far of fighting him without the knife because i didn't want to hurt him that badlyhe is one of my favorites characters in the game.
