getting decent at melee isn't as hard as a lot of people make it out to be. i'm by no means 'good' (i got bodied plenty of times by players way better than me. i'm a decent player in my state, but my state is completely irrelevant in my region and my region is completely irrelevant on a national level).
you really just need to get in the right mindset for improvement. a lot of people will tell you to just play more but that doesn't in itself fix anything. you need to actively contemplate what went wrong every time you get punished, and what went right every time you get a punish. recording yourself can help. that plus solid tech and punishment training (work on combos w/ low level 20xx cpus) will have you well on your way. marth's not that technical in melee, you really only need to learn to wavedash, dashdance and shffl. other than that it's just general stuff that applies to everyone like di and spacing and whatever. the same is probably all pretty true for sm4sh too
