Doc has good combos and kill moves. He has low recovery but not the easiest to gimp. He's also pretty slow. He's an alright character, not that great but ESAM's always struggled against the Mario's, losing to Ally right before TBH5, getting absolutely bodied by Koolaid on his stream in a first to 10. And losing to Larry Lurr's Luigi back at CEO.
ESAM made the switch to Samus because his Samus bodied Koolaid in the second best to 10, and the game he won against Larry was with Samus. Nairo had been getting tips on the side from Koolaid as well so he had that matchup partially worked out before the switch even happened.

2 different forms of normals depending on how long the button was held
Special moves that can still be executed the traditional way, but get powered up/have added effects if you do the motion (ie: Luigi tornado might need a half circle forward or the powered up version where it has a suction effect, but the regular one can still be done by doing down B, Bowser bomb would need a 360 motion to get powered up but can still be done by doing side B etc)

VS Gaming Center is the other florida stream, but I only watch for 8BitMan and Dath. There are plenty of locals to watch, just check Twitch's smash games during the evening to see what's going on.
