I hope they drop the squad-based shooter aspect. The game is balanced around it, so so many more things are designed as one-shots now. Just being near a hunter makes him spin his upper half 270 degrees for an instant kill even on easy.
Also, I think a lot of levels are more atmospheric solo. Just give the player 2, 3, and 4 skins to Linda, Kelly, and Fred like Halo 3 had.

100%. As much as I loved Reunion I can't help but think that it'd have an even greater emotional weight if it was just Chief trucking it alone out there. Though, that may be a fault of the writing as there's almost never any real emotional tension present within Blue or Osiris- there's obviously potential to create positive stuff from that.

So, uh, what would you guys do if you were in charge of Halo 6 development?
I would do a couple things. For one, I'd make both Elites and Warrior-Servants playable in multiplayer.
Then, I'd change up Warzone a little bit. Not only would each side be a different species, but each person would also be able to command nearby NPCs on their side, i.e. Marines or Crawlers or Grunts/Jackals.

for some reason, the good settings I use for all my webms pumped it out with awful quality. I set the bitrate at 2000. Now that I see it's only 1.62mb and the source video is only 3.52mb I'm about to run it thru again at a much higher bitrate and up the resolution again.

Yeah, that's much better. I used to use FFMPEG until a few days ago when everyone nagged me to use webm converter. It says that leaving the options blank after setting the upper file limit will make it try to be as close to the limit as possible, but the shit just ain't happening.

no. but you'll run into the odd video every now and then (like that one) that just shits out low quality unexplicably.
If you're picky about your webm quality then yeah, adjust the bitrate manually. 2000 is usually pretty good without going over the filesize limit.
I recommend for general settings to be -1x540 resolution, Enable High Quality mod and 2-pass encoding.

Elites now take three to five punches to kill after their shields are dropped on legendary. Hunters now always one shot on any difficulty. Everything just has way more health.

No, but listening to Vale talk about nothing sure isn't fun. Three of Osiris are Literally Whos with no personality. Blue Team at least has more personality, which is fucking ironic since 343 is trying to go for the angle that the SIIs have less humanity.
It's just a really bad campaign, especially when compared with the rest of the franchise. Even factoring out the story, only like three missions are memorable. Compare that to another Halo game whose story everyone disliked, Reach, but people still remember all these different parts like the time you flew into fucking space, or the time you ran through a ravaged city and watched everyone get fucked immediately after.

Campaign is kinda shitty, the story is garbage.
Multiplayer isn't bad. Warzone is a lot of of fun. They're lacking a lot of modes such as BTB and Grifball, but when they add them in I'll be pretty satisfied with it.
Forge won't come out until December. Custom game options suck. Maps, for the most part, suck.
Overall 6 or 7/10 in its current state, can become an 8 or 9 if 343 does everything they say they will

I have a ton of qualms with the plot, and while I similarly didn't like Halo 3's plot (not including IRIS and the lovely terminals for sure), I feel like it's totally outclassed by both CE and 4. CE was a masterfully presented variant of a simple-yet-intriguing plot, and 4 was a nice character driven story (metanarratively it did some cool things as well). 5 just never had a suspenseful, tense, or gripping moment for me like the other Halo games did. It had some /beautiful/ moments and great callouts to the extended fiction, but that doesn't make up for the plot itself.

Stuffed peppers I made myself. I sort of winged it, I'm an amateur cook.
Green bell pepper, sausage, red onion, black beans, snow peas, white rice. Everything was flavored with paprika, (a little) bacon fat, sea salt and black pepper, used the fat drippings/etc to season the rice as well. Then all stuffed into the hallowed bells, and baked for 30min.

Arbiter had a good story going for him & a phenomenal character, but all of his missions sucked. It really dragged down the campaign experience & should have been treated as a DLC expansion like ODST. It was all set up too. Chief prevented an assassination on the Arbiter between 4 & 5, so he knew that Oni was pulling some ol' bullshit and trying to kill his friend.
Hell, even if that wasn't the central plot, they clearly set up the bricks for Chief to go against the newer military leadership in Halo 4...sure he went "AWOL" in Guardians, but that felt more like a tagline than an actual struggle.
It would be interesting to see Chief, the legendary soldier who's pretty much only known war his entire life, start to make decisions for himself and go against the growing Human military power who is seeking to take the Covenant's place of power in the galaxy.
Maybe Microsoft was afraid of it being labeled "anti-patriotic" or some dumb shit. Chief wouldn't even be fighting the UNSC he'd be fighting corrupt shadow military officials.

Honestly the best course of action should've been a card that lets you unlock 1 of whatever armor you want from a particular group. Like common, uncommon, rare , etc. Armor/helmet selection cards.
