Below tier 8, you don't really need to invest anything more than augments and alterations. You'd only burn regals, chaos, or alchs whenever you need returns on a map, so whenever you're aiming to climb tiers. It's probably best just to buy a bunch of tier 6 maps if you farm Dried Lake to 75, then use alterations and augments on those in order to build a base from there on upwards.

I tried messing with the scion tree but if I grab all the good life and dps nodes I'll end up with less sockets resulting into lower DPS and life. This is me using jewels that give life and 2x DPS stats.
Current build as marauder has:
6 sockets
174% max life
262 STR
3.6% Life regen
As scion if i take the most logical route I'll end up with:
4 sockets
183% max life
220 STR
Less armour and 1.8% life regen
, also leaving alot open slots for if i ever decide to go like 93 or 94 from 92.
DPS is abit lower due lack of 2 sockets, if not counting sockets scion has abit more DPS.
