Hard to choose, but my top two are probably Genealogy and Radiant Dawn.
I love Genealogy's art style, music, and how different it is from most other games in the series. I like the marriage mechanic and I really like having two separate generations and that the kids actually feel way different when they have different parents. Also it's story is cool.
Radiant Dawn has by far my favorite map design in the series. It feels like it did a good job of taking almost all the gameplay elements in the series up to that point and putting them in one game and using them well. Story is pretty retarded and the lack of supports sucks but I love everything else about it.

The Hero Axe is the only one that you could call easily missable.

FE might not be the hardest thing at all but it's challenging and fun for me. Not to mention that the series has a unique feeling no other games give me. Such as promoting a unit, for example, or getting a perfect level, or even bein saved by the RNG.

It's not an unreasonable assumption that an enemy unit will attack one of yours. If you don't know about the classic memedon/healer recruitment thing, anyone with a brain will assume they need to protect their units.

Most of fates's gameplay changes were smart but tying forging and capturing to online shit/random chance was retarded. I sure love relying on random chance as to whether Haitaka takes 1 chapter or 4 chapters to join.

So I resetted my game of FE12 because I apparently missed a constellation and now I can't get Tiki. What is a good class for Chris? I made him a mage but I found it lacking. I'm considering either a mercenary or a fighter.
Also, I almost never had a chapter on Hard where I didn't have to reset because the enemies were fucking brutal and always picked the weakest one out to gang up on. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?

Best choice for him on Hard or lower is Fighter, and then change him to Pirate/Berserker after the Prologue.
And it seems like you're just using too many weak units, otherwise you'd probably be able to protect them with your stronger ones. Just organize your units so that they can't get swarmed by a ton of enemies in one Enemy Phase.

It's more like when reinforcements come, they do it from behind and murder the backrow. Or like in the dragon parts where I get attacked from every angle because the flying ones have ridiculous movement and I can't do shit to the normal ones without either a dragon pike or a wyrmslayer so I end up with either a hugely overleveled Navarre/Caeda or use 4 turns to kill them.
