My roleplay nigga. I love my Titan because I've gone and made him pure honor (based NM, hates Fallen and Cabal). My Warlock is all about FWC and being super into learning and is trying to follow in Toland's footsteps, so he fucks around with Hive and space magic alot. My Hunter is my main, and he's basically the legend, and he's really passionate and determined to cleanse the system of the Darkness, which makes Titanbro jelly because Titanbro wants to be the hero. Warcuck just doesn't care and wants to learn.

All your gear has stat values to show how much attack and defense it has. Your light level is the average of all your gear's attack/defense values. The higher your light level the more damage/hits you can dish/take
>leveling/cool stuff
If you've ever played an rpg than you know how leveling works. Just kill shit to get higher in level. All the "cool stuff" you want pops up once you hit level 40 and complete the main story.

There are 3 raids in total currently, but right now the only raid that holds any relevance is King's Fall; the most recent. All the weapons and armor in the old raids have a damage cap that common weapons in TTK easily surpass.

Since I got a ps4, I've been looking for a good space shooter. I have vanilla destiny but got out of it around the time of the dlc when i started to feel like I was out of the loop and started looking towards Battlefront instead. Now that the beta is out and the sucks, I suppose I should go back to destiny.
If all I'm interested in is regular old pvp, so i need to spend the money on the taken king? How should I gear up if I don't have any of the expansions? Or would I just be at such a disadvantage that it's not even worth it?
