What's killing the game right now is tons of gamebreaking bugs, hackers, and a team of devs who have no idea how to make a loot system work for a game that's basically supposed to be TPS Diablo.
Every was exploiting the first major bugs since Massive wasn't going to punish anyone.
Now everyone is exploiting the next FOTM bug which allows to basically solo a "Raid" Boss and now they're thinking about banning people which would basically be the entire population.

They recently added a Raid to the game.
99% of the players are doing a exploit that allows you to beat the raid without anything attacking you.
Ubisoft says they're going to ban everyone who abused it despite not banning anyone who abused the previous exploit that got fixed a few weeks ago. The previous major exploit allowed you to farm gear at an insane rate.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving game. It makes Destiny and Diablo 3 look like they were filled to the brim with content and created by competent and genre savvy developers. I got it for free and I still feel ripped off. The recent extension to the grind is fucking painful. They basically tripled the amount of DZ level grinding for high level blueprints, while more than quadrupling the difficulty of upgrading crafting mats. And if that weren't enough, they quickly hotfixed the game post patch to make it harder to acquire gold gear to dismantle for materials.
The game is fucked and the devs are sweating because there's so little to do besides chase a carrot on a stick. I'm already decked out in set items and I didn't even abuse the glitch. That's an entire month's worth of content cleared in a few days worth of a couple hours every night. There's a gutter you can sit in that makes that piss poor excuse for a raid practically beat itself in ~20 minutes.

The matchmaking system is so bugged it's almost impossible to even get a team. If it wasn't for gear score, comparing gear would still be frustrating. And Ubugsoft is just awful with the bugs and exploits. The gameplay is fun as fuck, but damn only so much before the negative overweighs.

Sadly consoles arent even safe from uplay fuckery. but EA did this too with battlefield 4 i think, trying to sync origin accounts. I guess its not a big deal but its still annoying having to subscribe to a new email newsletter every time you get a game now. but ticking a box on a console is much better than installing the bloatware malware on pc. I've been playing since its release and honestly I'm kind of fed up.
The game is half assed, they cut out a bunch of content and it's full of shitty bugs. If they had more content on the map for release, and they didn't break the economy and have a bunch of faggots ruining the game by exploiting glitches and instagibbing 99% of the people in the only end game they have, it would be awesome.
Considering ubisoft only bans hackers for 3 fucking days, I doubt these glitch faggots are going to get into any kind of trouble. I legitimately hope they wipe all of their characters, but they'll just find another exploit in a couple days and farm it all back anyway.

They were really slow to act and make hotfixes for glitches which pretty much caused a huge amount of problems for people who didn't spend the first week of the game playing 12+ hours a day grinding shit out.
It would make sense that Ubi just dropped it in the laps of a bunch of fucktards and put their major dev teams to work on creating new content for other games. Or maybe they're still working on the rest of The Division that they cut.
