Also, what was up with the Big Nig? What I got was he was the pioneer of time travel, witnessed the beginning and ending of all things, then came back as a nigger with some grand plan yet to be revealed?

Game only runs on Windows 10 and I'm not entirely sure if you can even purchase it separately from the XB1 version.
Very ambitious in it's story telling, for a videogame. There's a severe lack of actual gameplay and most of the game consists of reading text documents left around every level, piecing together the whole story. Gameplay wise it's a third person shooter, but not cover based which is nice. They had an opportunity to split up the shooter segments with platforming but there's like 2 sections in the whole game with interesting platforming set pieces and they basically play themselves.
But yeah, if you've got an XB1 and a disposable income, buy it. Took me 11 hours to complete and I thought it was pretty interesting.

Nope. He did cause the fracture but it was a complete accident. Everything afterward is him attempting to prepare mankind in order to survive the end of time.

Basically he spent years trying to use the time machine to go back and fix his mistake of causing the initial fracture (killing Will as soon as the first time machine is made, etc.) and comes to the realization that nothing he does in the past can change the outcome of the future. So instead, he spends the next 17 years building Monarch from the ground up with the sole intention of creating a life preserving bunker to house humanity while they discover a solution to the fracture. He allows his past self to cause the fracture in the beginning because he knows whatever happened must always happen.

Became a shifter, which can only exist inside stutters. When time inevitably breaks down again, he can exist again. Hatch is the Big Nig Shifter cause he's learned how to exist outside of stutters with the use of chronon (the eye drops). Jack will eventually become a shifter as well. And Dr. Kim still exists in some form.
