This. I mean I think his design could have been interesting if done a bit different. His motive, the whole story part on Dream Team was just so fucking lame and one-off. Like it doesn't matter, who cares we won't be coming back. His lame generic 'accent' sucked too.
There's also something so fucked up with block people existing in the Mario world too. And pillow-head people is stupid. Oh and there's a big ass egg shaped bird god for some reason. Just so random. I mean the BeanBean Kingdom at least felt like it was sorta it's own place and not some island out of nowhere. It was random, but it felt like that was kind of it's weird thing. Like everything in it was some kind of foreign bean joke or some shit cause everything had that stupid grin on it.

Partners in Time is an unfocused mess while Paper Jam is competent but the least inspired game in the series. I'd probably like DT the most if it wasn't so slow with banal conversations and unskippable animations and things like that.
