I finally just beat this shit. That ending was such a letdown. Really? Cheaping out on the epilogue? Couldn't have them standing around talking a bit? Had to read online to know I have to go back in to read the epilogue files. No D team epilogue withhappy family snuggly fun time.
Threadly reminder thatDiana is used goods and Phi is the daughter or a whore.
>>345338619
Why would anyone want event more badly written romance? Junpei and Akane getting married is bad enough.
Diana is a bad drunk and a whore, end of story.
>>345338619
I'm extremely disappointed that familial relation was barely addressed by the characters. You'd think we'd get more than a hug and then have it just ignored entirely afterwards
>>345338854
>sigma got cucked before Junpei
The real plot twist of ZTD
>>345338619
Fuck that, where is my Carlos 2 epilogue?
>tfw she wants thehorizontal tango
So we're all more disappointed than anything else right?
>>345339381
We can fill the empty void in our hearts with memes
>>345339381
That was my immediate response to it, as time passes I'm becoming more fond of it though. There's a lot of bad things about it but there's also a unique charm to its dumbness compared to the others and the characters are growing on me.
>>345339381
I'm content. I wanted to see what caused VLR to occur, how Diana and Sigma fell in love, wanted to see Junpei and Akane sort their shit, and wanted to finally see the leader of free the soul. I think everyone can agree that turning the game into cutscenes was a silly choice, but it wasn't a bad game. Maybe not as good as 999 or VLR but still on that same bracket.
>>345339651
This. When I first beat it, I was incredibly disappointed and wondered what the hell happened. But now I embrace the ridiculousness of it.
I mean, VLR was may more ridiculous than 999. So ZTD just takes it even further.
Did Zero Escape get the idea for the "virus that kills off most of humanity so people have to travel back in time to stop it" plot from 12 Monkeys?

>tfw you can post about remember11 again and nobody gets upset
incidentally couldn't someone just go fix all the shitty english in ever17 by editing and distributing the script file since that's how the "typo fix" worked
So who'sthe terrorist that radical 6 was released to kill?Seriously they couldn't just find the guy with the magic powers instead of killing 6 billion people?
>>345341963
That will be answered in the fourth game, please look forward to it!

>>345342672
That's not what I'm saying
a "typo fix" exists for ever17, and it removes one glaring spoiler from way before you should be told about it, but despite that ever17's script quality is overall very low and could use further editing
what I'm asking is if that's possible to do simply by editing the text directly or if there are call signs in the script that need to be handled

I'm all for seeing how far this series can fall.
>>345343808

ZTD was much shorter than VLR. But I liked the cutscenes aspect. Prefer it over reading text. And japanese voice cast was great.

>>345343383
He only needed to have Diana and Sigma fuck in a similar situation. And even then, why go through all the trouble of training the shifters when you can build your own? It makes no fucking sense.
Fine, be anal about it, make R6 and create VLR timeline, tho I'm sure future Sigma is not needed, organize ZTD, have them fuck, and call it a day.
Akane and company are not even looking for the fanatic at the ending . Crash keys couldn't even find FtS headquarters or Delta's identity, but now I'm supposed to believe they'll succeed in finding the fanatic whereabouts? Fuck that.
>>345344438
You should have an unlocked Q fragment. Did you finish everything after opening the door of truth?
Snake is the terrorist. He probably decides to kill the world when Clover dies. (Just remember how he reacted in 999).
In VLR clover says everyone says he's in a cult, and this is never brought up again.
I'm going to marry Carlos!
>>345344438
When you look at your timeline do you have all the executions unlocked?
>>345344663
The only thing I might have not done yet is the force quit box section of Q, and I don't know if I missed the code or not
Everything else is done
>>345343606
I made that picture as a joke. Will it become reality?
Background is from the wiki: Q&A section
>>345345132
Just Q teams, I tried more than once to get the other executions, is that another one of the random elements in this game?
>>345342403

You should have gotten the passcode in Q-end 2 then.
>>345345283
>>345344005I just want to complain, but I actually want more ZE.
>>345345324
I wouldn't say it's random, the game acknowledges the choices you have made beforehand on a timeline. So just go through the voting phase in the beginning of the game again, even if you already went through both choices for each.
>>345345324
The game remembers what everyone voted, so you have to have at least 2 teams set to vote for whichever team you want to execute.

Should I make a video review of ZTD? Game has a shitton of problems that I hope Uchi fixes in his next game, but all the game reviewers gave ZTD 10/10s and 9/10s, which is fucking baffling to me and probably gave him the impression that ZTD is on par with the rest of the series. Hope a video rightfully critical of the game would reach Uchi's ears and influence his future games.
>>345349070
There is no way Uchi doesn't know exactly what's wrong with the game. He's not stupid. But budget wasn't enough to make it good.

>Oh... the mastermind was a guy that was always hanging around and just always out of frame?
>Oh, everything he's saying is stupid and/or plays into a blatant causal loop
>Oh...
Are the first two games worth playing at all? The room escape puzzles were pretty fun, but in retrospect, I would have liked if they were more than 1/10 the game's 'playtime.'
>>345342512
I'm pretty sure Sean is capable of controlling any of the Seanbots since his mind isn't actually in the robot. The robot doesn't shift, and what he does isn't exactly shifting anyway.

>>345351315
congrats you just spoiled two fantastic and beloved games because you played them out-of-order like a casual.
>>345351760
I really don't care about doing them in order.
>>345351315
The other two are better yeah. The room escape segments in the second game take up less of the total playtime though. There's still more of them than in ZTD though, I think. The first game probably has the highest escape:story ratio, but mostly because you can't skip ones you've already done on different routes
>>345351713
>even newcomers are disappointed by the finale
Thanks Uchikoshi.
Anyway, go play the other two games too. 999 has great atmosphere and VLR the best puzzles in the series.
>>345351945
You will when you play the first two games and realized how much you fucked yourself.
>>345351945
wew lad here i thought i couldn't get angry anymore
>>345351315
You kind of fucked up. ZTD is the worst in the series, the other two games are miles better but not sure how it will be for you, because you've been spoiled by this game.
As for puzzles... the pacing in the other games is different, they are visual novels, so there is a lot of reading (the second game is around 28 hours, but has almost the same amount of puzzles, although they are much harder), but it's mostly escape room->visual novel part->escape room, there isn't a part like in ZTD when the last 5 hours of the game are cutscenes only.
>>345351315
What >>345351760 said. You're an idiot along with whatever high-up said that ZTD had to be marketed towards new players.
>>345351945
this is why putting ZTD on PC was a mistake
>>345351315
>>Oh, everything he's saying is stupid and/or plays into a blatant causal loop
It doesn't, the transporter sends someone to a root timeline, not a specific branch
>>345352249
So with the giant button, the reactor, and the Force Quit Box, the shelter had three separate self destruct mechanisms

Why do you care, you bloody autist
>>345353351
>>345353492
>>345354137
>>345354242
Delta facilitating his own birth is a basic bootstrap paradox, but it's internally consistent, so there's no really issue with it.
Phi's brooch coming from Diana DOES present an issue, as it is essentially the same object when it trades hands everytime, and as such there's no way it should be able to last without deteriorating. The transporter copies things exactly, including their physical condition, meaning the brooch will end up going through literally countless timelines, and eventually it would crumble to dust.
>>345348904
Will Sigma still make Luna even though he doesn't have to anymore? Will Diana be okay with him making a sex bot in her image that doesn't age or get fat?
Is Phi basically Lucina 2.0?
>>345339381
no, the ride was too wild for that.
>>345354990

>>345354990
>Phi's brooch coming from Diana DOES present an issue
2008 Phi could have gotten a replica from 1904 Phi.
>>345355051
>Is Phi basically Lucina 2.0?
I could get behind that.
>>345354990
It survived being incinerated without so much as a scratch, maybe it's just legitimately impervious by it's very nature of being something not made by man.
>>345354417
Akane saying "Screw the rules, I have shifting" was pretty fun. The way it was handled opened up so many problems though.
Firstly, she apparantly neglects to do this under any other circumstance, despite being apparantly able to at any point in the game. She even explained that she's used to shifting so much, so she doesn't just forget stuff - so we know she wouldn't have forgotten having shifted.
Secondly, she explains that the other self essentially swaps places with you, despite us seeing very differently that the conciousness didn't swap places directly but instead were all shifted around different points in time with Sigma in VLR.
Thirdly, when she brings it up she explains that it could be seen as a form of murder, killing the self that swaps places with you. She then forces them to jump, essentially saying the ends justify the means. Junpei then has NO problem with immediately fucking over 2 of his other selves and one of Carlos's and Akane's, and then Carlos has no problem fucking over two of his other selves afterwards as well. And then all of a sudden, the final decision is supposed to be about whether or not it's to shift everyone's other selves into the current certain death situation, despite every Shifter but Diana having consciously done it with absolutely no problem several to millions of times throughout the series.
This isn't even counting the issues it created with the other characters, such as how Junpei magically became a shifting expert when he hadn't been able to access to morphogenic field since 999, or how he even knew the dice rolling decision (which is on a separate timeline branch) even existed when he, again, hadn't been able to even access to morphogenic field until just before he shifted the first time.
So yeah, it was a fun character moment, but not a good story one. But then, I guess a lot of ZTD can be summed up as that.
>>345355228
That doesn't change the fact that the brooch is continuing to age and should eventually turn to dust - no matter where it gets replicated, it's age doesn't decrease.
>>345356974
"Aliens did it" is probably the only valid explanation for that.
It's also by far and away the worst, but we already have an alien time traveling fax machine, so why stop our suspension of disbelief there, I guess?
>>345357538
I didn't mean replicated with the transporter. I meant replicated by a jeweler.
>>345347551
Sean was too sweet. I thought he would be annoying but I wound up wanting to protect him from all the bad shit going on. I have to wonder if going through horrible murder games and dying in a bunch of timelines was part of whatever deal he made with the original Sean and why the fuck it would be but I'm sure the answer is complicated.
>>345357857
With the exact same insignia and scratch marks?
>>345357857
I'd buy that theory more than "alien's did it".
Even though the alien's theory actually has more weight to it, however retarded it is.
>>345357538
I wasn't thinking aliens when I said "not made by man", just that it has no origins and is more of a concept sprung from the universe that defies explanation, so expecting its physical properties to match a normal brooch might be mistaken.
>>345359348
The insignia sure. Scratch marks will come naturally over time, the whole thing being in a causal loop.
Or do you prefer alien material that doesn't deteriorate over time but somehow has scratch marks?
I know that a lot of people usually dislike filters and added effects, but I don't know...I kind of wish the game looked more like it did in the opening. It's kind of gaudy looking otherwise.
Time to decipress the button.
>>345359895
No, I like your idea a lot better now.
I mean, the fact that the situation exists is Uchi's fault for being bullshit, but at least we can have plausible explanations for some shit.

>>345361327
I thought it was confirmed in VLR
Did Jumpy ended up fucking Kanny in ZTD?
Wow I can't wait for the 4th game
There are few things in gaming that will make me as mad as Kyle getting completely fucking dropped.
Brother being adopted is one of them. There is NOTHING to even hint towards this, or even it's relevance, in the entirety of VLR. We also don't get any sort of hint about this until Zero name drops himself as Brother and Delta one after the other to Akane, at which point it's not even hinted at but is just randomly thrown in and is literally the only explanation.I'm almost positive that Brother and Delta were combined into one person when Uchi realized he didn't have the budget for one more model. At least Brother wasn't cut, like Kyle
>>345362435
He got her an ugly ring that looks like it came out of a cracker jack box. Thought it would have some sentimental value since he kept holding onto it. But nope it's just a ring that he brought into dcom intending to propose to her the moment he saw her I guess. Putting it on the wrong hand was cute.Too bad that ending was fucked.

Aside from the reveal about Brother being Delta, which isn't a hint since adoption must be a fact at that point, where's the hints that point towards adoption?
>>345363182
>alien fax machine
Wonder what would happen to a human going through the fax if the power was disconnected halfway through.
>>345360252
On the one where Diana pushes the acid shower button, why did she freak out and act possessed and run back inside after sig and phi got on the elevator? Was it Zero's mind hax? The one with carlos staying behind was heneeded a body to jump into.Seanjust didn't want to leave Gab. But I don't think they mentioned Diana's reason. And then Zero's berating her for faking insanity.
>>345363873
Funny thing is when Akane and Junpei use the fax machine, Carlos accidentallly kills them when he throws the robot causing the big explosion. I guess he didn't realize their bodies are still in the pods and only copies got sent over.

Actually, that's not quite right. He stays behind because of Q. Pic related. And yes, that ENTIRE Q TWIST was very poorly handled and completely unnecessary, as we learned from C-Team's force-quit box fragment that he definitely doesn't need to be that close to anyone to mind hack them, merely being in the shelter was plenty.

That was the most complex grenade I've seen in a video game. It launches, and then just plops to the floor instead of dinking into sean's face, and then has ample time left for eric and mira to climb the stairs.
I guess Uchi needed eric to fire a weapon that would wipe out Q at the same time, but this really wasn't a way to do it.
So which stage of grief are you?
I finally reached acceptance and accepted the fact that the ending was botched and will forever stay that way, so all I can do now is move on.

How the flying fuck does Carlos know how to work the machine perfectly when Sigma said he had no idea how to read any of it?
Why the hell does Zero mindhack Diana back into the complex other than to taunt the fuck out of her?
How does Zero mindhack Diana into not drinking the antidote when he's fucking dead in that timeline?
Why the balls would Diana bring Phi out into the world with Radical-6 when a rescue AND quarantine party could easily have been sent back not even a day later, therefore not killing 6 fucking billion people for absolutely no good reason?
Why does Zero try and say "I didn't ask Mira to kill anyone, so I'm not responsible for this" when he created a puzzle that required Mira to chop Junpei up into bits and pieces?
Why is shifting suddenly a huge moral dilemma at the end of the game when everyone's been doing it willy nilly throughout the whole game without a second thought? Not that it fucking matters, since you instantly get a game over if you don't fuck over the other selves.Does Eric have a shotgun magnet in his fucking hands or something?

Remember the puzzle with the body parts? The one where Junpei was missing and you were just controlling Carlos and Akane, and then you find his head in the freezer, and then Akane loses her fucking mind?
Those were ACTUALLY Junpei's body parts. His arms were needed for the codes - you even needed to heat up one of his hands in a microwave to open it up and read the code on it.

>Why does Zero try and say "I didn't ask Mira to kill anyone, so I'm not responsible for this" when he created a puzzle that required Mira to chop Junpei up into bits and pieces?
There was no puzzle about this was there? I don't really get how she did it. Did she have full reign to walk around when everyone else slept? That how she killed D team in that one history? Figured she chopped Junpei up in the pod.
>How does Zero mindhack Diana into not drinking the antidote when he's fucking dead in that timeline?
I think that's just attributed to Diana stupidity. I think we can safely say the 13:30 vote and acid shower vote were mind hacks though since she said she dindu nuffin.

I played all 3 of the Zero Escape games in 1 week, and man was ZTD shit. I was so excited to start it after beating VLR, and only ended up disappointed. I really don't understand the point of the true ending if there won't be a 4th game. The "true" ending should have just been the one that led onto VLR and ended the series with a loop.
Instead we got stupid mind hack shit.

I mean, we had the terrorist AND Brother's identity revealed in C, Delta's identity revealed in D, and Q and Sean's bullshit revealed in Q.
True End revealed nothing. It really feels like the big threat was supposed to be revealed in True End, but they had to rush it and just came up with "terrorist nuclear blah 8 billion blah" and shoved it into two lines in C team.

>After getting what we got for ZTD though, I don't think I really care to anymore.
I can't blame you. While I still enjoy 999 and VLR. ZTD is just meh and a shitty way to "end" the series.
I guess the reason I cared for a new Wiki is just because I know how to rip data assets easily from the DS and 3DS. Whatever at this point.
>>345375880
>playing the worst game at all
why would you even
I think the people that prefer 999 over VLR are the people who evaluate the flaws over the positives, and the people who like VLR over 999 evaluate the positives over the flaws. 999 had a good atmosphere, was grounded, had the best art, but that's about it, the characters didn't do shit for me, the twists didn't surprise me, replaying the game several times was tedious and the payoff wasn't worth it. As a whole experience it left me feeling utterly numb. VLR surprised me when it came out because I actually liked some of the characters, the jokes didn't make me want to shut off my DS, watching the group dynamics evolve in each path was fascinating and the twists and turns as everything unfolded kept me hooked. I missed the atmosphere and I think it was dumb to end it on a cliffhanger, but it was much more fun for me.Even ZTD in all its dumbness and bad writing was more fun to me than 999.
>>345376254
The reason I prefer VLR over 999 is because on my first playthrough of 999, I managed to get the "correct" route the first time through without cheats, but it made me start over and get a bad ending first. I understand that the game is about the Morph field and being able to remember things from other timelines, but having to literally replay everything twice just to get the ending I deserved the first time through made me super upset. I liked VLR because it had the best memo vs screen system, had a lot more shortcuts in terms of actual playability, and both the gameplay and story were bretty good.
I wish Carlos would shoot Delta.
I know it's against his character and all, but...isn't it likely that a timeline does exist where he does?
That'd make him a criminal and I'd imagine that that timeline would be a lot more fucked up then the alternative. Way more interesting then a happy ending in my opinion.
There's one thing I still don't understand, and would really like an explanation for.
Why didthe reviewer's shill so hard for this game? Most reviewers were even fans of the series I general, and they still gave it a 8-9's our of 10.
I mean, they obviously weren't paid - they hardly had enough money to keep Akane's hair in one place.
So what would you do, /v/? Release a virus that kills 6 billion people and save two billion or do nothing and have 8 billion die
>>345376963

>>345376971
I'd send copies of myself back in time over and over as much as possible until as many timelines as possible had as many copies of me as possible
I would then reassess my options with the additional resources
>>345376861
The point of the cut from that scene is to show that the characters are no longer being mind hacked and can control themselves now.
Though, giving Carlos the gun is the perfect way for Delta to put himself in danger, so that he can activate his ESPer mind hack powers to an even greater degree than usual. Which he could use to mind hack everyone and find the terrorist more easily. OR Q is actually the terrorist, and he's activating his mind hacking skills to a greater degree in order to get Carlos to shoot everyone there, including himself, and then he's going to activate the nuclear bomb.
>>345376254
I was ready to accept what you said until that spoiler.
I believe 999 feels more complete as a game, it was intended to be standalone even though the ending is a bit open ended. I think VLR is fantastic but in the end it was just leading into another game.
Sigma should have been way more intelligent than how he was portrayed in ZTD and Phi was given very little screen time. They had a couple of lines of banters and that was fun, but not enough.
VLR got me really hyped to play what was coming next but ZTD is the most disappointing game in the series.
>>345372360
>potential mental illness

I went into this game thinking she was going to have to make a moral decision between risking 100â„… of humanity and certainly saving only 25% of it. It's no wonder he waited to save Junpei and Akane so that they still knew him - they were fucking Einsteins compared to the rest of the cast.
>>345377592
Yeah, even though it's my least favorite I think 999 definitely feels the most complete and has the least holes in it under scrutiny, but the fact that I felt complete indifference throughout soured it for me, in ZTD I could at least laugh at how ridiculous the characters were. But that part's pretty subjective and I know most people would just be frustrated instead.
>>345377592
Sigma not punching Eric in the face when given several opportunities to do so, despite being 3 times his size and 10 times as sane, is the second biggest disappointment of the game for me.

I am 100â„… convinced that Brother and Delta were not originally meant to be the same person.
I can dig the Delta is Phi's twin deal - there was a lot of foreshadowing on Phi not being an only child, even a tiny bit in VLR. Also decent foreshadowing on Zero either being or being related to one of the contestants.
I can dig the Delta is Zero reveal as well - there should have been more foreshadowing regarding this, but it at least seems consistent.
I don't particularly like that Brother is ultimately benevolent, but it's about par for the course for these types of VN's, and it just means he was a little less genocidal than he was originally made out to be (though they definitely dropped plot points like the poisoning of the morphogenic field). I don't know if it was the original plan, but it's not too far of a stretch to assume one way or the other.
I can not for the life of me believe that Brother was meant to have been adopted and is actually Delta. There is practically no foreshadowing to this, and Akane in VLR should have known about this shit.

Sigma was just a lonely old man instead of VLR Zero, which was really fucking disappointing
Phi was dead most of the time and just didn't do a lot
Kyle didn't exist
Junpei being edgy was fine, but they way overdid it
Akane basically being a copy of 999 Akane instead of VLR Akane was bullshit
The amount of screentime they gave her and Junpei's bickering/flirting while the fate of the entire world was in their hands was fucking killing C-Team for me
The characters in this game were just not was I was expecting at all
I thought ZTD would be about the masterminds of the previous games trying to outsmart the antagonist for the entire game

That wasn't idiotic at all.
That was a solid, logical choice. It was the wrong choice because of information he couldn't have known without trying to do it, but that doesn't mean it wasn't intelligent.

He completed the puzzle to the best of his ability and was informed after putting down his last piece that the puzzle manufacturer was actually going to send him the last piece (which he never would have sent if the puzzle wasn't completed).
I mean, maybe there is another stupid decision he made that I can't think of, but that is certainly not it.
Compare that to Carlos, who knew exactly where Zero's base was and waited, or Diana, who couldn't have waited a few hours to go back for Phi, or Sigma, who had kids in a shelter with extremely limited food.

This is the first game i played in the series and I enjoyed it a lot. It was a bit confusing at times (I had to read some of the backstory of the other games on the wiki LOL), but overall enjoyable. Why does it get so much hate? The puzzles were challenging as fuck and the voice acting was awesome, best VN I have ever played.
>>345383031
Anon, he's stupid either ways. His entire purpose for being in the game is to lick the shoes of a girl he passively aggressively resents and of whom he only briefly knew during his childhood. Oh, not to mention more or less propose to her.
As much as I do dislike Diana, even her desire to avoid her abusive ex was a better reason to join the experiment.

If that's how you feel then I don't understand how you can deride VLR. It's not nearly as "convoluted" as you think it is and its entire premise revolves around jumping between alternate timelines. It's literally the same thing as what you're describing about ZTD except less excessive and more impactful.

Beat the game in about 18~ hours.
Little upset that they'd end it on another cliffhanger when this was supposed to explain everything.
Despite everyone memeing him I think Delta is a fine character, who even without being able to shift, performed a massively convoluted plan that worked out in the end.
What I really don't understand, is his reveal. He was there the entire time and nobody said anything? I dunno if I missed some content.
>>345381998
Jumping to another timeline for X-Passes was smart, Zero just fucked them over. He withheld information about the method leading to failure until after you failed.

His decision to join the game is pre-ZTD, and we were talking about everyone's stupid decisions during the events of ZTD.
Joining the game to find Akane isn't necessarily a terrible decision, since he also wanted answers for what the fuck happened in 999. He IS retarded for going up to the moon in VLR 45 years later, but neither of these have anything to do with his decisions he made during ZTD, which were all rather sound.

Young Sigma jumps to the future to VLR.
Old SIgma jumps back to ZTD.
Multiple timelines branch from here, but only two matter.
Either:
Old Sigma fails and creates the VLR timeline, in which case Young Sigma will take his body back and then become Old Sigma.
Or:
Old Sigma creates the true ending timeline. How would Young Sigma, whose existence is confined to the VLR timeline, take the true ending timeline body?
>>345344072
It's like they let a fan write that ending.
>Ok and then Sigma and Diana have kids.
No, they don't think about consequences at all, they just have babies and send them through the teleporter.
Oh and also there's a character we purposely won't mention just for a twist. Then we'll drop in random hints that he is there so that autist fans have something to defend this shit story writing.
What the actual fuck. I wish they had just tied a bow at the end of 999 and made 2 entirely original stories.

It was nice seeing her go crazy killing Carlos whenever she saw Junpei die. That's how you know a chick falling for you.

So how does Diana work with the VLR timeline? It's said that Luna is based off of someone Sigma met during what would be ZTD, but during the time Sigma would have built Luna and made Kyle, he would have been 22-year old mentality (plus whatever natural aging) Sigma, and thus would never have met her, right? Or even if he did meet her, he wouldn't have any memories of what happened in ZTD, right?
>>345392036
The guy that lived through the apocalypse was once the edgy ZTD Junpei, though. Obviously he mellowed out. Either through years of loneliness, or more likely when he found a purpose other than Akane by adopting Quark.

He didn't cross my mind once during ZTD, which makes me sad. So throughout all of Junpei's shifting, he didn't gain access or remember Quark in the future? And if he did, do you think he'd willingly drop that special connection for Akane who generally treated him like shit?

Old Sigma jumped out of the body shortly before they left for the moon, where Young Sigma would spend three years with Diana before she died cause of the space sickness.
Old Sigma jumped to the end of VLR, where shit for fucked.
>>345392525
It's only a few months after ZTD that Young Sigma comes back to his appropriate body. He meets Diana then, who was already with Old Sigma, and then some sort of weird thing happens where they fall in love for the first/second time. Then they live together for three years. You can see this kind of explained in one of the files in ZTD where Diana dies and talks about how she's lived with young Sigma for three years, and that he'll go and meet her for the second/first time someday.
>>345392775
>drop that special connection for Akane
He doesn't have to drop Akane. Quark won't even be born for years now. But it's also possible that Quark won't be born, or if he is that his parents survive due to a different world. This Junpei will probably never meet Quark, but that doesn't really matter. Tenmyouji's timeline still exists.

Diana died of a circulatory problem caused by the moon's gravity, if I recall. She never gave the music box to Delta in that timeline, only in the babies one.

>>345393404

>"Me? I never said it. If it really was me, then..."
>"Yes. The Sigma who was 67 inside." Diana shifts her frail hand closer to Sigma, and he gently grasps it between his own.
>The Sigma before her is not the one who was trapped in the shelter. It's the same body, but a different consciousness. On April 13, 2029, Sigma was at the headquarters of Crash Keys, his eye and arms replaced with robotic ones. There, the young Sigma returns to his body from 45 years in the future, and begins to carry out Akane's instructions...
>"How many years has it been since you came here, Diana?"
>"A little over three, I think. I followed you here in May 2029."

I don't quite know what you mean, but in the VLR end Old Sigma shifts forward to just after the Nonary Game when Young Sigma shifts back to April 2029.
In the true end, Sigma just gets to essentially live a doubled lifespan, give or take twenty years.
>>345392543

>>345393048
Music box isn't a paradox, they never get it back from Delta in the timelines they give it to him, and in most timelines they don't give it to him.
PHI'S FUCKING BROOCH IS A PARADOX. It's an internally inconsistent bootstrap paradox. Phi gets it from Diana, who gets it from Phi, and at no point is it created from scratch, which means that (since the alien fax machine copies they physical condition of the transfered) it will eventually crumble into dust.

Honestly that 1 ending was the only one I really had a problem with, just so fucking silly and having such a large impact on the story.
Other things I didn't like were:
- Junpei is suddenly an asshole after 1 year
- Mira and Eric could be removed from the story with 0 effect (Especially Eric). I'm not saying I want returning characters, but how about some who have some impact on the story in one way or another. Actually, Carlos is the same as well, just a random guy.
- The ending wasn't satisfying because the motivation behind the villain's actions were basically zero
- Sean is a robot clone of a character we never see and this leads to an uninteresting reveal
- Having memory wiped after each trial leads to uninteresting repetitive dialog where characters wonder if they've "Done this before". I also think it's lazy writing.
- Why do I have to go through the first vote in 4 different ways using at least 2 teams each time. I should only have to pick both options for each team once.
- Why is Santa (Aoi) barely mentioned in this game. You'd think he'd want to have some influence on these events.

>"Hey Mira, how are you feeling? Are you lonely?"
>"Come on, Eric. You visited last week."
>Eric smiles wryly, and reaches out to Mira with his left hand. Mira does the same, and their hands with matching silver rings align on either side of the plexiglass window.
>"I brought a new guest to see you today." Eric shifts to the side and a head pops into view.
>"You're...!"
>"Hiya Mira! Long time no see!"
>"It's... Sean, right?"
>"Yep! I'm happy you remembered!"
>Behind Mira, the sun is shining through an iron-barred window, lighting up the Visitor Room.
>"It's been a long time, Sean. It's good to see you." The smile that appears on her face is real. Mira no longer needs to plaster on a fake one.
>"When I heard you turned yourself in, I was really surprised!"
>"Eric was the one who convinced me. He said I should pay for my sins so we could be together."
>"So that's why you got married in jail."
>Eric ducks his head shyly.
>>345394628
Because there is absolutely no way to defend Uchi's fucking awful VLR plot resolution. Or the True End resolution.
Or really anything in ZTD.
>>345395069
>"Are you sure you're okay with this?" Mira asks.
>He looks at her in confusion.
>"Don't you regret marrying me? I did carve your heart out in another history... Isn't that what you said, Sean?"
>"Yeah. You did..."
>Eric looks Mira straight in the eye. "I've already told you this a bunch of times. I forgive you. No matter what happens. Besides, you haven't killed me in this history yet, right?"
>"Yet..." Mira's lips twist wryly.
>"But... the Heart Ripper's killed people already. So many..."
>"Sean, stop it..."
>Eric turns angrily on Sean, and Mira's face falls into a drown, but Sean continues speaking.
>"You turned yourself in, Mira, but that doesn't mean you've paid for all the crimes you did. I doubt the family and friends that were left behind would forgive you even if you were put on Death Row. There's no way you can clear your sins here."
>Mira grits her teeth.
>>345394430
You might be able to include
6. Let someone else judge the ethics of his actions
since he gives the gun to Carlos at the end there. Dude's been maindo hakku-ing for so long he probably barely remembers what's good and what's not.
>>345395020
He finds people regretting "their decisions" fascinating.
>>345395151
>"But there IS a way to clear them... well, not what you've already done, technically. You'll have to pay for those your whole life, that will never change. But maybe you can in another universe..."
>Suddenly, Sean's fist crashes through the plexiglass window.
>"Aah!"
>Mira jumps backward while Eric is frozen in shock.
>"Wh-What are you-!"
>Eric can't even finish speaking before Sean moves. Jumping through the broken window, he kicks the outside wall of the Visitor Room, causing it to crumble and reveal a giant hole. An alarm immediately starts blaring and police officers rush into the room, but Sean darts forward and takes them all down in a blink of an eye.
>He holds his hand out to Mira. "Let's go!"
>"Go... where...?"
>"I know where the transporter is being stored."
>"You're saying... we should go change history?" Eric finally stutters.
>Sean nods. "To stop young Mira from committing murder. Mira, I'm pretty sure that's the only way you can clear your sins."
>>345395047
>Leads to uninteresting repetitive dialog where characters wonder if they've "Done this before
Jesus fucking Christ I hated this so fucking much.
Second only to what they did to Kyle.

Fuck you guys. This ending ruins all of Delta's plans.
>>345393118
I guess Sigma has a weak pull out game lol.
Seriously she must have gotten pregnant within the first few times they fucked based on the timeline right?
>>345395393
It must have been the vote... at 13:30!
>>345395020
Regardless of the fact that he gets off on people making choices, he still had to ensure that there were enough timelines to work with, so he had to make people act out of character.
>>345395435
It's hard to pull out 18 inches in time
>>345395272
It's not really a "decision" when the player just repeatedly exhausts all choices until they have done everything.
>>345395151
>damn brat talking shit
>>345395782
I was really hoping they would address this in this game.Maybe if there's a ZE4
>>345395724
Maybe he nutted in another timeline and it shifted timelines into Diana.
>>345395901
>Maybe if there's a ZE4
let's hope it will never come to this. series should have ended with 999
>>345395047
>Mira and Eric could be removed from the story with 0 effect (Especially Eric)
Well Mira is kind of important since she caused a lot of the problems leading to a lot of deaths.
>Why do I have to go through the first vote in 4 different ways using at least 2 teams each time. I should only have to pick both options for each team once.
I think I only went through the first vote twice for each team.
>Why is Santa (Aoi) barely mentioned in this game. You'd think he'd want to have some influence on these events.
Only thing mentioned of Santa was he serves as Akane's second in command and I think Junpei brought him up once. He's just a pussy whipped bitch that's always been following Akane's orders. It was cool that they mentioned Seven and Lotus though.
>>345395287
>Jumping through the broken window, he kicks the outside wall of the Visitor Room, causing it to crumble and reveal a giant hole
i had tons of fun spoilering 999 and VLR on /v/, but this game is so bad, it's not even worth spoilering
>>345395393
>Kyle
Is this Kyle thing a meme? He's literally never been an important character.
>>345393152
That makes more sense to me then Junpei suddenly being an asshole in this game.
new thread where?
>>345396251
These threads were black bar generals since forever.
About a week after ZTD came out, no one really cared to black bar much anymore.
Now? It's encouraged not to black bar, since it'll save people the trouble of playing through this absolute trainwreck.
someone maek new thread
>the mastermind behind everything is a character you, the player, never met and don't know anything about him until the last 20 minutes of the game

This isn'tsupposed to bea general, nobody is obligated to keep it going. Make your own thread.
>>345396151
>I think I only went through the first vote twice for each team.
You're lucky then. I did that and had to go back and vote two more times to kill off one team I hadn't. Supposedly the game keeps track of the two most recent votes and kills off a team if two of the same team get voted for. Basically this one part of the game works differently than every other part.
Also I feel like there should be a 5th voting result. One where none of the teams follow C team's note. Everyone would backstab and everyone would survive. I'm not sure that result was in the game at all.
>>345396320
Did you not play VLR?
Akane:
>"Kyle's consciousness is integral to what we are trying to accomplish."
>"This new mission begins on Christmas, and ends on New Year's Eve, 2028."
>"It's purpose will be to infiltrate the test facility and prevent the spread of the virus."
>"For this to happen, Kyle is absolutely necessary."
?:
>"And that is why he created him?"
Akane:
>"Yes."
?:
>"Kyle has gone back to 2028, to participate in this mission?"
Akane:
>"Correct."
How is saying "this character participating in this mission is 100% necessary for the success of our plan" equal to "he was never important"?

According to a whenwasiconceived website, their birthday was 11/16/2029, so they were conceived around Feb 20-28. Diana noticed three months after their first time so she noticed around April or May. They probably fucked like rabbits until the birth. Phi and Delta were probably traumatized by the 18 inches nearly poking their eyes out inside Diana's womb.
