Yeah, I'll give them the benefits of doubt. I have faith it looks better IRL, but I don't expect to be amazed. That said, I always thought KOF characters (sans XII and XIII) looked like Shinkiro's designs transfered in 2D and even in 3D with XIV. Could they do a better job? Sure, but I'll give them some slacks since they know they're not very experienced in 3D, but they're willing to build up skills.
And, you know, gameplay looks pretty promising so far.
So the big draw to this game seems to be how much truer to its roots is than the other contemporary installments in major FGs right now
By that token, why should I ever pay for this game when I could just play '98 on Fightcade (and probably have quadruple the playerbase)

Are you a contrarian? Kensou's stance and movement in XII/XIII was the best to thing to ever happen to him, it actually looks like he knows that the fuck he is doing as a martial arts practioner, not the "whatever-the-fuck" was in his old stance.
People who didn't like his Psycho Soldier costume are happy that it's gone, yet those who saw it as Kensou finally being serious about his training can be happy as well because the stance and movement was kept.
