The Battle Frontier is the biggest artificially difficult bullshit. The game works it's RNG magic so heavily against you it's not even funny.

The best parts about X/Y were the customization and trainer videos, the latter being such a ripoff of Project Diva's success imo. But they were absolutely fun to make. Otherwise, X/Y was just a shitty derivative retelling of DP's story in Kalos.
I was a fan of Ruby/Sapphire growing up so ORAS were fine to me and XY's postgame was also atrocious so I wasn't expecting any miracles. The by far best part about ORAS is DexNav, I'm almost mad how often it goes overlooked in Pokemon ORAS discussions because it's one of the best quality of life additions in Pokemon since ever, even moreso than the updated EXP share. I'm also betting on it not returning in Sun & Moon since it's part of the PokeNav

In Emerald, the Crystal of 3rd gen, they had a post-game area that was pretty extensive, with tough challenges and hours of extra content. It had very unique rules and battles that haven't really made a return since then. Most people wanted it in ORAS, and the most they give is that monument since the release of the game. It's a sore reminder, or a sick burn, of what could have been.

Yes, that's the entire gimmick of the Battle Factory.
You select three Pokemon from a random pool, and every NPC you beat you can trade one of yours for theirs. You also get some details on your opponent that gradually get less useful, such as "Your Opponent has a Pokemon that knows Protect!" rather than knowing the species.

I honestly think that GF wants to make a good game every time. I really do. BW2 being the final entry on the DS was basically their send off letter for it. Also, it had over 2 years of development time which was probably the biggest factor.
They already said that ORAS was made with 1 year of development, which explains why there isn't any postgame. They WANT to add these features, but simply don't have the time to do so. It's hard to blame them when they're forced under time constraints.

It's hard to say. X/Y came out in 2013, ORAS in 2014, nothing came out in 2015 and we're getting Sun/Moon very late in the year.
If they started right after ORAS, they've already had more time than they had when making ORAS, I would think.
If Sun/Moon started as a side project as soon as X/Y came out, then the game has had plenty of time to be worked on.
I would think that 2015 not having a Pokemon game come out is definitely a good sign for Sun/Moon.
