mfw Chill and rigor doesn't appear in ZTD
I don't get it, the transporter only transported baby Delta and Phi to one other timeline. How come in all the timelines, Delta exists to set up the Decision Game and Phi exists to be a participant?
>>344152046COMPLEX MOTIVES
Just one question I have left overEveryone is saying that Delta mindhacks all the decisions that are made. But what about all the decisions in timelines where Delta is executed?
>>344151625
>tied between VLR Sigma abs Carlos
>that one song that repeats for the entire game
>Mindhac
>>344152046
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTSTRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX
>>344152046
The transporter works differently, the body is created for all the timelines
There's also 2 Carlos and 2 Mira/Eric in all the timelines
>>344152046
It transporteed them to a point before the timelines diverge, so they appear in all the timelines that split off after the point they were sent to. In this case, every timeline in the series is after that point. The transporter is different to the SHIFTing
>>344151625
>Was sigma, now it's time cop carlos
>senary game
>999's twist of why I have to play different routes and upside down sudokuand as I played the game I thought zero was Ace, and then after that I though it was Santa. I was wrong twice
>>344152035
Are you fucking serious ? It's everywhere
>No quietus remix that plays during a ZTD bad ending
why live?
Requesting a Hydra Cap edit with Delta saying My motives are actually pretty simple or some such shit.
>>344152131I don't remember now myself but some people are saying that on the timelines where Q-Team was executed, the decision games were all luck based. Like with the rec room, the monty hall problem and the AB game.
>>344152131
In the timeline where Delta is executed, all the decision games revolve around a probability game
>>344152248
Seconding this
>>344152280Forget about the AB game I'm retarded.
>>344152283
>>344152280
That's actually pretty clever. Say what you will about Uchi, he definitely tries to think of everything
how the fuck is this supposed to be the series finale
literally none of the hanging threads from VLR were addressed and there's a terrorist that's gonna kill 8 BILLION PEOPLE for some reason
it's time.post 'em.
>>344152370
he definitely puts effort in everything he does, but I still can't wrap my head around why he chose to drop Kyle's plot entirely.
>>344151625
>Akane
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWYdW5JPQ7c
>999's Zero and the reasoning behind the whole thing
>>344151625
So Uchi wrote D-team's story and the other two writers wrote C and Q? Means it could've been much better if he just wrote everything by himself,or worse
>>344152428
>there's a terrorist that's gonna kill 8 BILLION PEOPLE for some reason
He's not.
>>344152370
Honestly it's not perfect because there's the "do we drink this antidote?" for team D and you can argue that the AB game is not luck based
But i don't know if we have to think that Delta had the need to mind hack all the decisions
For example, he can't mind hack Sean at all
I think he uses mind hacks in the cases where some choices are not meant to happen normally
Like Carlos and Diana going against the characters and executing others
Holy shit I think the only thing to actually piss me off is how fucking bloodthirsty Akane is. The second something bad happens to Junpei, just tries to murder you. The AB game probably me rage the hardest.
>>344152490
>Best character wasn't written by Uchi
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7-sK3icMSE
Best song in the entire game. Too bad it's only used in the credits.
My favorite character(s) is Carlos and Sigma.
The shock that got me wasDelta being Phi's sister, and Phi being Sigma and Diana's daughter.
>>344152607
It was needed for her to be super fast about it because she was soon gonna die by poison, but for story reasons Carlos had to be put in immediate danger in order to shift again
>>344152467
Not as good as yours, but a mix of them would be perfect. You got your Akane mixed up
>>344152607
Really? It made me like her even more.
Why does Junpei have such a potty mouth in this game?
>>344152490
What ? Of course not. The sub-writers were simply there to assist him and question dialogue, inconsistencies, foreshadowing, etc.
>>344152706
>Phi being Sigma and Diana's daughter.
Honestly was anyone surprised by it? The eyebrows were a giveaway.
>>344152839
Don't you remember him in 999? He sweared costantly
>>344152872
I think everyone guessed it months ago where we saw the colored artworks, me included. I didn't even doubt it.
Still wish Phi was trap Santa or alternate timeline Santa. I would've liked that much more than D+S=P+D
>>344152732
I get that, but when Junpei kills you, she like"Meh" Carlos was way too good for those people.
>>344152872
I just thought they were twins initially because Phi had the TWIN xpass + was a redhead
Realized it after i got MOM and DAD xpasses
>>344152872
>>344152949
I thought Diana would be Phi'ssister.
This makes more sense though yeah.
>>344152739
that chart is awesome. Props to you.
>>344152872
yeah it was kind of obvious. I'm sure everyone realized it sooner or later, no way there's someone who understood it only when it was explicitly said
>>344152907
Did you expect her to fucking kill Junpei? Her entire character in ZTD is about trying to redeem him for what he's done because of her.
>>344153058
Butz joins the police or something? Shit man, I'm only on case two of the second game. Good to see he reappears though
>>344152839
He was the exact same in 999.
>>344152467
As much as we all like to rag on Alice for the AB game, literally every character would have done the same thing. She's just the one that got shown.
>>344153218
He reappers like a billion times
>Only one cat pun from Sigma all game
Why did Delta kill the doggy? Literally for what reason?
>>344153218
No, he just finds a part-time job as a security guard. Don't worry though, he shows up many times, and he's a fucking idiot in each and every one of them. That's why we love him.
>>344153218
Yeah it's from the third game and Larry is the culprit in the second case there.
>>344153256
Noiyce
>>344153265
Gab was trying to mind hack him.
>>344151625
>Junpei
>Morphogenetic Sorrow
>The answer to that is easy. He knew because I knew.
We never got an escape room with
>Only Carlos & Junpei and Junpei & Akane
>Only Sean & Mira and Eric & MiraWho wuld want that
>Only Diana & Phi and Phi & Sigma
Speculate on how they would have been
>>344153342
>>344153345
I gotta keep playing to see this shit.If only I could put down Infinite Space
We need sitcom about Carlos' everyday life and his shifting.
"The shifting life of Carlos"
>>344153486
I just want to see his kawaii imouto.
>>344153412
I think the second column wasn't doable because you're supposed to "play as the leaders"
The first column would have been cool
>>344153479
Second game you said? The last case of justice for all is probably the best case in the whole saga. Keep playing, get through that shit that is the third case, and GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE before someone ruins it for you
>>344151625
How the fuck do i unlock this shit?
>>344153486
It starts with Time Cop Carlos shooting Carlos at the end of ZTD
>No final Q room divided in three parts where you alternate between controlling Junpei, Sigma and Carlos.
They really missed the fanservice boat in this game.
Also, in C ending, I kept expecting Zero to tell Junpei about how he's meant to take care of the one who'll take over Free the Soul or some shit, just to tie Quark into all this.
>>344153412
I really, really wish we'd gotten an escape room with only Junpei and Akane. I eventually got sick of them pussyfooting around everything. I wish we had an escape room where Junpei could outright talk about how her being Zero affected him and Akane could defend herself.
>>344151625
Junpei outside of 999 or Sigma
Honestly ZTD had the best characters in the series. Every one of them was a flawed asshole with complex motives. Characters in other games are just onedimensional anime tropes.
Ambidexterity
Zero's identity in VLR and PERCEPTIVE-END in ZTD
>>344153553
There were a couple scenes with only Junpei and Akane, specifically the apocalypse ending before Carlos arrived.
>>344153590
Third case of the second game or the third. I wanna know when the tough times come
>>344151625
>Sean

>He'll never think to adopt Quark again
Shit that's sad
>>344153634
>The one who'll take over FTS
Was Quark ever meant to do that? This i don't remember
>Quark is related to Carlos
>>344153690
I wish we had an escape room where they outright fucked.
what the fuck are these threads and why are they here instead of /vg/
fuck off
>>344153601
You have to clear everything that happens before opening the yellow door in the other timeline.
>>344153837
No one knows what he was supposed to do or be, so I just wanted Zero to go "Oh yeah, Junpei, you are meant for great things. The one you'll protect.... will become the next Brother" or some other stupidity.
>>344153786
Third case of the second game. It's widely considered one of the worst cases of AA along with the third one of the fourth game. It's totally worth it though, as I said, the last case is absolutely insane.
>>344152195
It isn't in ZTD, sadly
It was used in both 99 and VLR, but not a whiff of it in ZTD
Another dissapointment...
>>344153876
'cause it's actually discussing the game and it's not only avatarfagging and waifufaggotry
>>344153876
>Game just came out, 1 thread
>Meanwhile there's like 4 OW threads
You just hate fun man
>>344153820
I'm sure if Quark is actually born, he'd a. have loving parents and if he didn't, Sigma or Phi would probably make him aware and he and Akane would adopt him.
>>344153947
Which one is the third one?
The circus case?
>Junpei and Akane are written with japanese romance tropes, including Yandereness, desperate love confessions, and limite on-screen physical contact
>Sigma and Diana are written with western ones, including drunk sex and past dysfuntional relationships.
>>344153947
Nice. I'll have to get back into it. Another question... Are games 4 and 5 as awful as people say, or are they more like the ZTD of the series?
I'm going to marry carlos!
>>344153953
Trepidation was in it far too much though. They could've substituted that a few times. And that's my favorite tune in the series.
>Recollection is never used anywhere in the game.
Really pissed me off. The one song from 999 I expect to hear again, aside from Morphogenetic sorrow.
>>344154050
You can bet your ass it is.
>>344154085
I enjoyed all of the AA games, no exceptions. It's just, some games are just worse than the others. Apollo Justice is bad compared to the other AAs, but I think it's still a pretty good game with enjoyable moments and characters. Dual Destinies is not that bad, just way too easy, also >DLC case
>>344153601
>>344153890
You probably also have to get Q team executed in the vote.
>>344154085
4 is okay and 5 is great, don't fall for people's shitty opinions here
>>344154085
>4
It's a weird take because after 3 games you're so attached to Phoenix you can't like Apollo that much
The best cases of 4 do not hold a candle to the best cases of the fhirst 3 games
>5
No idea there
>>344154204
Cool. Because the way /v/ blows things outta proportion, I was half expecting a complete omnishambles. Sounds like you feel the same way that I do about ZTD in Zero Escape rankings
>>344154204
AJ also has one of the most insane and terrifying villains in the whole saga in my opinion. I cannot hate it just for that alone.
>>344154085
They're both fine. Apollo get shit on for not having enough Phoenix, while Dual Destinies gets shit on for having too much Phoenix.
>>344154204
Ienjoyedthe circus case because it was so stupid
>>344153590Why was the only likable character in the 3rd case Acro. Moe was bad until he admitted he knew people thought he wasn't funny, then he was just sad
>>344154085
4 has the worst plot twist in the entire series and has the worst most contrived overall story too. Two of the cases are awful, and the other two are decent. It's not a good game.
5 is fine.
>>344154335
I didn't hate it nearly as much as SUGAR SUGAR blind kid shenanigans case, but I admit it was pretty bad.
>>344154360Acrois wasted potential at its highest. Fuck them, he could've been so much more.
>>344154390
First case of Apollo Justice is awesome, what are you smoking?
The third case on the other hand... Jesus Christ.
>>344151625
I've never played the 999 series, but that OP image is fucking awesome. Movie poster quality.
So wait, Junpei liked Akane as kids, and in 999 she says that he meant a lot to her as kids.
She then vanished for ten years, right?
Did he know she went to America and followed her there? Or did she see in her vision from the future that that's where he'd be moving, and stayed there to set the whole Nonary game up?
>>344154184
>>344153953
Oh shit I mixed up Trepidation with Chill and Rigor my bad
>>344154537
Yet i do not understand the symbolism
>>344154584
Nope. He didn't know what happened to her until they met in 999 again.
>>344154584
?
Junpei had no idea where Akane was until Zero kidnapped him and 999 happened.
>>344152142
He should be The Sorrow, they even look kinda similar
>>344152467
That's odd, why'd you post the wrong version?
>>344154693
>>344154753
So after the kidnapping, Akane just stayed in the America while her brother set up their company using the stock market?
>>344152142
thumbnail looks like he's wearing a sexy latex dress
lewd
>>344154827
Most likely since in just a year she was gonna partecipate in ZTD and so had no time to go to Japan again i guess
>>344154204
I still don't get why people hate the Circus case
>>344154827
Which makes no sense because muh fragmented information. Delta was helping them even as kids.
>>344154826
that's perfect.
>>344154947
no good villian, annoying witnesses, doesnt add anything to character development
>>344154947
Because AA isn't suppose to be silly
>Proceeds to Channel something
>>344154208
I have everyone executed.
All this did was unlock that Q shit with zero where he gave the pass for his helmet.
What was the purpose of Delta following around Q Team?
Was getting caught part of his plan?
If Akane wanted to help and stay with her beloved Jumpy so much, why did she run away at the end of 999?
Didn't she know he'd become a pissed edgelord just to find her? In VLR, there's the implication that it was because of what would happen in the test site, but in ZTD, she clearly says she doesn't really know what's going to happen because all her visions from the future are fragmented and incomplete, so why did she just leave him behind?
Is she just retarded?
>>344154947
method of killing more retarded than usual (considering AA standards that's really something), badly handled killer, annoying as shit witnesses and defendant. I didn't despise it but fuck me sideways I didn't like it one bit.
>>344155157
Of course.
>>344154947
Because it has one of the worst logic leaps in the series
>>344155175
>Is she just retarded?
Yes
>>344155175
Maybe she didn't want to burden him with her crusade?
Which is stupid cause apparently Jumpy is able to take down terrorist HQs
>>344155146
Have you got the left ending when Eric asks Q who killed Mira? The answer isto let the timer run out / I don't know
>>344155225
is that the part wherethe bust falls on his head, then somehow the cape transfers flawlessly onto the bust, and the court immediately accepts it as fact?
>Phi is best character. Can't say no to a snarky meganekko
>Also hard to argue against how powerful of a song Morphogenetic Sorrow is, despite how it was overused in ZTD. Clarification from VLR is another favorite though
>Probably going to go with Sigma being and old man and Zero Sr. for the twist that blew my mind the most
>>344155356
>The answer is actually to stop bullshitting him and just tell the truth
Fucking magical
>>344155331
>Junpei and Seven did more to stop FtS than Akane ever did.
>>344155331
>R6 is about to kill 6 billion
>buh bye Jumpy
It's clear Akane only cares about the non-fucked timeline Jumpy.
>>344155424
I disliked the overuse of Blue Bird Lamentation. It's still an awesome song, but eh.
>>344155441
>fts still exists in VLR meaning that Junpei and Seven changed nothing
>>344155356
Ohh damn i was stuck on that shit thinking i had to get an answer from another fragment or something.
>>344155496
>R6 is about to kill 6 billion
>Instead of enlisting Junpei, Carlos and Maria, hinted at to be a powerful esper, and using the Transporter, a magical alien tech device that doesn't even respect the laws of causality and relativity
>She just follows a bootstrap and does VLR again and again, trapping herself in a failed timeline.
Akane is a complete retard.
>>344155157
everything is part of his grand plan
>>344155157
He's a complex guy.
>>344155553
It wasn't overused
>>344155646
There is a timeline where this happens. We just don't see it
>>344155723
For Q.
>>344155741
why did he do it again? I played this a long time ago and I barely remember this case
>japanese kid that can't solve a sudoku
>turns out to be a retard
Why are people surprised?
Just finished it
So Free the Soul is literally nothing? It was just a back-up plan to kill 3/4ths of the population because of a terrorist? What the fuck was Zero/Delta/Brother doing?
>>344155792
He wanted to kill Regina because she accidentally killed his brother by bringing some pepper into a lion's nose who bit his head off. Not even joking. Regardless, he's a genius and managed to kill her father instead.
Action Spin-off featuring Junpei and Seven going on buddy cop adventures, when?
Fuck, it doesn't even have to be an action game. Can we get the people who wrote Hotel Dusk to do it?
>Think that with a cinematic approach and a cast with a lot of recurring characters can shield me from the twist of "Zero was among the partecipants all along" or at least see it coming if it's one of the new characters
>I don't see it coming
>The cinematic approach was key to it
OH MY GOD THEY DID IT AGAIN AND I FELL FOR IT
>>344155796
You should replay the scene because the probem is not that she can't solve a sudoku
>>344155646
I think the whole thing is that it's already fucked in that timeline. They do say the roof caved in "some time ago" and that there's sand everywhere. Carlos showing up with help didn't mean anything when the whole world got fucked. She also seems to know she needs to make the AB game to get Sigma down into the shelter, which is likely the other reason she does it.
Yes, her having done it once would mean Siggy and Phi can show up, but only if it had already been done, and there's no real way to know if you're in a timeline in which it doesn't matter...right?
>>344155796
>has to solve it within a time limit
>literally her first time seeing a Sudoku
This meme needs to stop
>>344155902
I am never touching the ZE series ever again after the disaster it was, I have better games to play now
>>344155891
On that note, how good is Hotel Dusk?
Better/Worse than Ace Attorney/Zero Escape?
>>344155887
Oh, right. I think this wasn't as bad as AJ's one
>>344155943
>live in Japan
>never saw a sudoku before
>>344155750
No there isn't. Akane was a retard in every single timeline which is why Delta had to step up.
>>344155848
Saving the world, duh. Akane kept allowing the terrorist kill 8 billion.
>>344155949
Figures, but anyway :
"The only thing i can see on the screen is my reflected face covered in tears"
She literally cannot see the sudoku
That is why she needs Junpei to solve it for her and you have to tilt your screen
Does anyone have that one pic of 999 junpei looking high as fuck
>>344151625
> Would say Akane as she's somewhat both cute and crazy, and the mastermind behind 999 and VLR
> Aside from the obvious ones (999 & VLR main themes, Morphogenetic Sorrow, Blue Bird Lamentation, Chill & Rigor...), I would say Pantry from VLR. So glad it was used in a trailer and in the Study room.
> Morphogenetic fields were the purpose of the multiple routes in 999. It breaks the fourth wall in such a perfect way, allying player gameplay and experience with story narration. Way more effective thanever17's 4th dimension
>>344155969
It and Last Window aren't much in terms of puzzle solving compared to AA/ZE/Layton, but it's comfy as fuck
>>344155929
Here's how you solve it:
>Have Phi and Sigma there as usual
>Also take Junpei, Carlos and Maria to the moon
>Now everyone except Eric and Mira know the drill
I'll never understand why Akane never used Junpei and Carlos in her plans. I mean, I get none of this game was planned around the time VLR came out, but looking back, VLR Akane is just a complete idiot.
>>344155969
it's pretty chill. I liked both games and Kyle is pretty dope
MINDHACK
>>344155969
I dunno. But I have it on my R4 ready for once I've finished AA. ZE still the best though
>>344155969
Love both games. Noir as fuck, and both feel comfy.
>>344156124
Daily reminder that the spiritual successor Chase is getting localized and released this fall by Askys games
>>344156038
She had like a few minutes to solve a sudoku puzzle. I doubt I could do that under pressurebut then again I'm a retard who is shit at timing games
>>344156094
>better than Ever17 twist.
Agree 100%. For all the talk about licking Uci's balls, people need to realise that that twist had nothing on some of his other stuff.
Man, I wish I hadn't done every choice early. This fragment thing is annoying me because I want to be able follow what decisions I made instead of clicking one and finding out it was for another choice. Is there an easier way to do this?
>>344156038
What's your point? She's a child
After finishing ZTD I am glad the money is going to Danganronpa instead
>>344156285
>>344156094
To be honest, the morphogenetic field is just another coined term for the same fucking thing, more or less.
Uchi has quite literally always used the same pseudoscience in all, all of his games.
>>344156331
Yeah because THAT conclusion won't be bullshit.
>>344156331

>Awesome Tier
>Zero Jr
>Fucking Funyarinpa Tier
I know this is all about opinions, but that is an objectively awful placement
Akane is denser than a collapsed star,Why would she be mad at Junpei for coming up with a plan that got them seven X passes by just shifting? She got them all killed with the nuclear implosion and did the exact same thing, except that had no benefits until Junpei had an idea, She was even fucking joking around like nothing was wrong with that whole scenario.
So Delta is a "good guy" right? I was mildly looking forward to this being the first time that the games were created by someone with actual malicious intent. Delta just wanted to create one of two timelines: one in which 6billion died to save 2billion (the more likely scenario in his mind), while also creating the potential for a timeline in which he makes 6 super powerful espers to find the dude that sets off the nuke. I'm getting that right, right?

"There was a monitor, a keyboard, and a cross-shaped device of some kind.
Something about the machine scared me, but I forced myself to walk up to it.
I was terrified.
Tears poured down my face.
I wiped them off, even as more took their place, and forced myself forward.
Finally, I reached it.
I looked at the screen. It was blank.
All I saw was my own frightened face staring back at me from the glass,
drenched in tears."

>tfw Sean-kun LITERALLY went to Gensokyo
I still think the best twist of the series is:Junpei's perspective was the top screen.Akane's perspective was the bottom screen.
>>344156558
It's different when you have to see and feel the dying bodies of your friends on top of you before shifting away though.
>>344156558
>Junpei: We're going to shield you with our bodies
>Carlos: THE FUCK
funniest goddamn moment in the entire series
So Eric realizes that Mira killed his mother, right?
>>344156558
She hates seeing Junpei dead.
She's OK with everyone dying as long as she doesn't see it.
>>344156643
I never understood that that was the twist until I read about it 3 years later.
I thought Akane was the bottom screen only in the last scene, after the screen flashes white.

ZTD had great characters but you never got to see them interact
It was really sad, the teams should have been shuffled like halfway through. I wanted to see more of Boss Phi and her interactions with edgelord Junpei and Mira/Eric but they just stuck her with Sigma the whole game which was just them picking up right where VLR left off
Precurex Zero Escape
The game was handled poorly.
The urgency of decision didn't weight in as much because you could SHIFT into other one right after.
They should've locked you into decisions for the first playthrough.

In a layman's terms, the fourth dimension is that of spatial relativity to the notion of time, or space-time.
The flow of time itself has been verified to be able to be minutely altered already, through single-byte information and lasers and stuff, which is neat.
All prior three dimensions interact with one another in some way, and the fourth dimension is no different. Atrophy, entropy, degradation, yada yada.
Tectonic plates shifting, the rotation of our planet around the sun, the tidal waves and the coming and going of seasons are all based off of space and time affecting our planet.
A popular concept of a breach in the fourth dimension is that of travelling through time, however the most fundamental part of that is to also travel an equal distance through space, lest you end up in outer space as opposed to in your chair because of how the planet moves through the universe.
So, let's say you can move through space and time, and you end up in another era.
It's still the same three-dimensional area you know as earth, but wildly different.
Without something external affecting it, you would have the exact same earth, stagnant and unchanging, frozen like a framed photograph.
At that point, you would technically become a being belonging to that of a fourth dimension compared to the earth that is stagnant and unaltering, aside from your influence upon it.
It's a bit of a simple and half-hearted explanation, but the concept shouldn't be toocomplexto grasp.
How long did it take everyone to realizethere was a fourth member of Q-Team?
>>344160097

Why the hell they placed epilogues in the files instead of doing these scenes in the actual true ending? Even if it was stactic pictures like VNs.Who's the Other Phi? Why there are files for CQD-2 Ending of all characters minus the Team D?

Okay, so what was the deal with the numbers on the Lounge anagramsprominent on the middle column? For the entire game I thought they were supposed to be put together by the whole team to escape (every anagram had different digits in different positions), but they're not brought up at all, was it cut content, a red herring or am I looking too much into this?

Also the thing that got me about Sean was that he was in the prologue with the coin flip right? So how did nobody but Eric and Mira see him then? And did NOBODY think it was suspicious that Delta disappeared right as Zero showed up? And then at least Eric and Mira should have noticed that he came back to go through Q Team with them?
>>344165635
>everyone acts like he just doesn't exist
They talk about him and look at him all the time, we're only lead to believe Q is Sean based on camera angles
Still the way they start namedropping Sean CONSTANTLY after the Delta reveal is pretty grating and the game just being full of itself, "look how clever we are"
>>344166080
I think the funniest thing with Gab dying is that it's probably Delta who felt the worst about it. And after that he was pretty much just mocking and leading everyone on because of the decision he was forcing everyone to make.

What I don't get is that it's plausible up to the point of Sean having a bracelet
Like isn't he not really a participant in the game? So why would he have a bracelet? Did they not notice that everything indicated that there were three people but there was also a fourth person who seemed to be bound by the same rules they were but didn't show up on any of the screens like the one at the X-Door?
Also how was NOBODY ever suspicious of Q/Delta. Like he just looks so fucking shady and out of place from the start. Idc if you tell me he's a corpse in a goddamn wheelchair Weekend At Bernie's style if you put them all in a lineup at the beginning and ask me who Zero is I'm picking him every time
I wish DC Douglas would get more work. Wesker, Legion, and now Zero. Great performances all around.
>>344166801
I actually like manually advancing text on visual novels and would have preferred that, but the change didn't bother me too much once I got used to it
>>344166801
To be honest I don't really like voice acting in VNs since it fucks with my reading pace, I'd rather have bleep bloops. It was weird how switching to Japanese made all the awkward pauses bearable, since we're used to them in jap storytelling, English-language movies are generally much more tightly cut
And I just now realized why, in the ending where Mira cuts out Eric's heart, Mira says it's just like when she did it the first time.
so complex
>>344166597
Junpei brings it up at one point when Q dies, saying something along the lines of "He couldn't even see or hear it when..."
>>344166943
>Like isn't he not really a participant in the game? So why would he have a bracelet?
He was the tenth participant.
>Did they not notice that everything indicated that there were three people but there was also a fourth person who seemed to be bound by the same rules they were but didn't show up on any of the screens like the one at the X-Door?
This is literally why Eric was so fucking mental and constantly suspicious of the kid.
>>344155356
I was so mad at this until i realized I was stupid for not recognizing the non-ancillary purpose of a timer if he was just gonna shoot me anyway.
>>344155356
The game recognizes "donno" which is just fucking magical.
>>344166963
I wish Zero's voice filter from the early scenes could be dropped as an option after the reveal. I want to enjoy constant smugness.
>>344167181
What you're saying actually makes sense - Eric is a nervous wreck, while mira is a robot which probably justifies her reaction to Sean or lack thereof, but why didn't he suspect delta when mira was killed? If a kid wearing a snowglobe could choke his waifu the fuck out, who's to say the centuey old cripple isn't suspicious in that environment?
And how did delta even move around if he's deaf, blind and wheelchair-ridden?
>>344167110
It also explains Q teams anger when Q is made team leader.
>>344167618
>And how did delta even move around if he's deaf, blind and wheelchair-ridden?
Who told you that? The Dcom Operator.
And Dcom is privately owned by Free the Soul, which is led by Delta.
>>344166801
it was fine
the only issue that ZTD is that the animations are godawful and it really ruined my immersion sometimes when it's supposed to be a super serious scene but all the animations are goofy as fuck and the lip syncing is completely off
while i ended up getting used to it, i would've preferred VN style with such a low budget
Any speculation on what the Delta/Junpei/Akane "wear these black red robes and meet me at the cult rally to meet the true God" deal could be? Thought it was a cool thread of dialogue.
>>344156643
I'm not gonna say some bullshit like I guessed the twist before the game was over, but halfway through the game I started getting suspect of the fact that the image was the same on both screens, even though they could have put something like a toolbar down there. I just chalked it up to usual DS weirdness though and didn't realize what it meant until the end. So fucking satisfying. Also,Akane fucking having a fever whenever you start to go down a bad route because she's cooking in the furnace.

>>344168420
yeah, it's a good series
the third case is the obligatory filler case that most games have -- fourth and fifth case are MUCH better.
second game is mostly terrible but it's at least worth trudging through for the amazing final case
third game is overall quite solid. even the filler cases aren't too bad
>>344156643
How will they even pull that off in the voiced remake? Will the narrator be voiced? And what about on systems that don't have two screens?
VLR was my favorite all the way up until the clusterfuck ending desu
Luna's ending is still favorite in the series and all the spooky shit with the anagrams and tu fui ego eris really got to me even if they foreshadowed the Zero twist pretty hard
Plus AB Game was great and Alice gets 10x less shitty when you realize the whole point is one person always picks Ally, one person always picks Betray and one person is always the opposite of you

>>344168703
Is the 3DS trilogy version superior in every way to the DS games? As in, did they mess anything up?
>>344167841
>the only issue that ZTD is that the animations are godawful
It really surprised me since in 2016 it's no problem to do performance capture on a shoestring budget, you just need a well-lit room and two webcams with depth sensors
They didn't even put spline smoothing on the camera/character motions which is a rookie modder mistake
Anyone else get kind of annoyed at how Diana never seemed to close her mouth? I don't mean she talked too much, just every time they zoomed in on her face her mouth gaping open like a moron.
>>344168629
How is he not suspicious to the characters either though
They just take his disability at face value? They just take him leading Q Team at face value? They aren't even remotely suspicious of how he disappears right as Zero shows up?
I guess I liked pretty much everything but the very end; it felt like it should have gone an hour longer after you SHIFT as a group.
There's no excuse for not having a final puzzle room, I kept waiting for that thinking I was going to find out even more about Delta. I just can't comprehend thinking the same people responsible for the first two games' awesome endings thought "Six billion or eight billion?" was a big enough climax to end on.
Also Phi was criminally underused especially after the reveal, like what the hell they could have done so much more there.
>>344168868
Not that I know of. I think it doesn't use sprites anymore. Take that as you will, I love sprites so that's a downside to me, but it's still worth buying because the game themselves are awesome
>>344168805
Either the narrator won't be voiced or they will be after the reveal.
>>344167841
>the lip syncing is completely off
There's no prepared lip syncing though, it's just "if audio above threshold, play mouth-moving animation". Screams look fucking hilarious.
>>344168967
>>344168967
Phi was much better in VLR overall and her banter with younger Sigma was funnier. I feel like she didn't really contribute much at all in ZTD
>>344168831
Even though VLR was way less tense than 999, the slower pace made it almost as spooky for me, if not spookier. Bad ending scenes are 10 times more powerful when you're not expecting them at every corner like in ZTD. For example, the part where you found almost everyone dead in the infirmary, or when you see Kyle in Q's armor in one ending. Those were some crazy moments that ZTD didn't match for me. And those weren't even the biggest reveals.
>>344169005
no, they still do use sprites -- they just 'touched them up' a bit (i.e. they drew over them and they look kinda worse).
the new games use models but they are actually amazing. i think they are actually much better than the old sprites.

literally never
there's like 10 porn pics of the whole series so far and it's mostly Clover
the first Akane pic I've ever seen was made a year ago and that was only after I repeatedly requested in the drawthread for 3 months straight

"Sprites" means any 2D assets. The 3DS trilogy doesn't use pixel-art traced images, but raw downsampled versions of the original drawings, like the smartphone version.

Maybe he was wheeled around by Sean, who was his designated helper.
Nothing is known about his day-to-day treatment in Dcom, either (who would take care of him, feed him, wheel him around, etc.).

For the coin flip, he is physically there.

Yup, it was Blick Winkel, and apparently both him and Kyle went to Dcom to observe the unfolding events. Maybe one was the camera and the other was Gab.

Turn "Skip Text" off, pressing it often skips more than one message at a time. AFAIK it doesn't apply to puzzle rooms though so no idea how you missed that
So im kind of stuck.Just sent Phi and Delta back in time, then came back to the present and opened the Force Quit Box for D team.
Then tried the Q team force quit box using the code for his helmet and it didn't work.
And i have no info on what would the C team Force Quit Box password would be.
Carlos shifted around and was going to find out who the fuck was Q and have no idea where he is now
I also wrote Delta everytime someone was asking for a murderer and i got an arrow to the face and latin words came out and i was extremely confused and also got a message saying "He is not here" and i was confused too.
At this point i can sort of less guess whats happening but i cant really advance in the story when the Global Flowchart shows no new fragments to jump into.

ZTD and VLR not so much
VLR got me with Luna's "death" but nothing in ZTD got me whimpering really besides making all the D team incineration/revolver death happen back to back so I could unlock all executions, I had to stop playing for a bit after that

>a vast expanse a la the sky background in the Healing Room
>everyone asking each other what's going on
>Kyle's voice infodumps that they entered [?]'s perspective of the Morphogenetic Field when they decided to help non-shifters escape their designated timeline
>a mix of interlinked puzzles from every other room leading to a final exit
>Kyle is about to say goodbye to Sigma since [?] is about to return him to his body in the post-VLR timeline
>Instead, Sigma drags him along to the exit, and Coin Toss Sigma is occupied by two minds: Force Quit Sigma and Kyle
You know what people,
We've been wondering what the point was of that button that just make the entire facility explode.
In retrospect, pressing the button is the correct choice.
If you don't, whole D team gets murdered by Mira and she's the only one to escape after going on a killing spree. Sean & Delta remain in the bunker.
If you press the button you prevent the release of a dangerous serial killer.

It was the same scene recycled and I was reaching dead ends at that point. .../v/, whatever happened to Diana? No one says she's great besides a specific cult of waifufags, there's barely any new content about her and one of the few new memes about her, "USED GOODS", is entirely derogatory. She used to be so much more popular than Carlos, especially in terms of fanart.I never liked her. This is just interesting to me especially when I've seen Carlos being said to be the kindest character of the trilogy next to Luna. I'm pretty sure that Uchi intended Diana to be in that spot, too, "her kindness is a sin" and all that.
So wait if Sean Mira and Eric make a timeline that stops Mira from killing anyone as the epilogue suggests.
Does this make a timeline that stops every game from happening?
what theoretically would happen to Phi and Delta?
>>344181880
I don't think anything would happen since Phi and Delta exist in the timelines where Sigma and Diana don't experience the horizontal tango. But I don't know.
