3) Host a netplay room and post the code here to play with other anons
If you're joining, you do not need to start the game. If you can't connect to a lobby, it's probably already started.

>Dolphin window -> Right click game -> Properties - > Disable "Speed up Disc Transfer Rate"
>Turn off any widescreen hacks if you have any on (If you literally just downloaded Dolphin, don't worry about it)
>Some games may require you have cheats enabled to unlock everything (Config -> General -> "Enable Cheats"). Just leaving it on won't mess anything up
>LEAVE EVERYTHING ELSE ALONE
If you're new and it's your first time hosting:
Pad the buffer somewhere between 15 - 30. If you need to go over 30, don't bother hosting. Each buffer frame adds basically 16.67 ms of input lag.

Mario Kart Wii can work if you can navigate menus with the GC Controller. Problem is that the split-screen for MKWii isn't that great.
That giant mod that adds a hundred tracks to the game would be sweet to play though, but you can just use Wifi for that instead of Netplay.

Those typically don't come packaged with Dolphin by default, so it's just easier to use 4:3. It doesn't matter anyway because a difference in graphics settings won't cause a desync. It's probably only in the OP so people don't play their game stretched.

I never said that I preferred 4:3, nor did I say it's too hard to find an AR code. But for the sake of finding random people in a thread on 4chan to play with, it's easier to not use something that you need to go out onto the internet to find, and then find out how to actually use it. It's not difficult, it's just an extra step that is completely unnecessary seeing as how the games were made to be played in 4:3 anyway. It's not like they look bad that way.
