This was one of my most hated things with the game. The weapons themselves felt pretty useless and I mostly just went Zero mode the entire game. The fact you had to go through the menu then press a button to select a weapon and the game having a small pause when you selected a weapon was awful.
I would much rather just have a system like MMX where you just hit shoulder buttons to cycle through weapons. Instead I just set the sword to one button, the propeller to one, and another to whatever I needed for the current boss then never used anything else.

Yeah definitely this. Its nearly unplayable on most platforms. The fact they released it on older unsupported platforms is just stupid.
The Wii U version is basically unplayable because the framerate is so shit and I imagine the 360 (if it ever gets released) and PS3 are also just as bad.
PC actually ended up with the best version, best not saying much because thats like lining up 10 piles of shit and saying your shit is the least foul smelling.

There's a sense of schadenfreude I feel when I read this.
The guy went out of his way to ruin Megaman Battle Network, DMC, & Dead Rising among other series at Capcom before leaving them with a huge "fuck you".
Then he goes off and launches the MN9 kickstarter to further spite them during a time of calculated unrest, getting a good 4mil out of it.
Cue the delays and the feature cuts and the franchising and Dina's bad PR in general, and then top that off with cancelling the King of Pirates and fucking Marvelous over to the tune of 4mil.
It honestly makes me glad to read that a guy who went out of his way to shit on everyone he ever worked with got the tables turned on him in such an amazing fashion and now he's stuck with this blemish with nobody to blame.

It has at least one use. I found that one of the safest and efficient strats (as Ray) against Trinity's first phase is to stack cryo and dyna. For completing levels, it's shit.

He basically liked it because it reminded him of frustrating gameplay from his childhood. But that's pretty much the only thing he really stated, he liked that it reminded him of his childhood games.
He even complemented the music and its 8-bit renditions, calling them amazing.
Like, seriously? This dude is just so easily pleased.
He had nothing to say about the inconsistent stage design, didn't weigh in the dashing mechanics at all other than explaining them, basically just repeated the events of the story without actually sharing his thoughts about them too much, didn't say anything about the weapon imbalance.
He played the Wii U version and was apparently comfortable with the sub-30 FPS which looked janky as fuck, all footage he captured for the video.
The whole "oh it's just like the old games!" mentality is what lead to this turd being released in this state.
He at least acknowledged that there were Kickstarter and management issues along with technical problems, but this guy has no standards.

There's enough MM clones out there. It better be damn novel of a clone to actually be great or all it does is add itself to the sea of monotonous, repetitive overdone shit. I guess Megamanfags are used to that since they still enjoy it so much.
Though in my opinion it needs to actually try and divorce itself from being too much like MM(X) and actually be its own kind of game. The fact that it was too much like MM contributed to why I got so bored of it quickly, and trying to finish it was more of a chore than it's worth.

He even said it wasn't a bad game by any means, but it's performance and looks have little excuse due to how long it was in development, DESPITE THE FACT IT HAD A BEYOND FUCKED DEVELOPMENT.
As a fan I can say the game is PLENTY flawed, but if he can deal with the WiiU version of Mn9's issues, which SHOULD be unexcusable, but not DT's blows my mind.
