so, what about the english dub? I turned it off after a couple hours because I couldn't stand it anymore (the screams especially felt unexpressive and fake, while the japanese VAs really poured their hearts out)
People say there are a couple of really great moments though, what about them? Something about Skull Face
is there a secret ending or something or was that it? i remember there being some weird locker in a puzzle room but i didn't have to open it to complete it. Kinda wish they didn't make new shit up for brother and made him actually do stuff and also have them acknowledge Mira being a serial killer

It's retarded because both 999 and VLR twists completely change how you were interpreting the plot (A old dude was trying to fug young girls, June was a keikakumaster, you weren't on a ship) while "lol an old dude was skillfully avoiding the camera during all cutscenes" did not add anything to the plot
He also had no reason at all to be on Q team since the teams were mostly independent and he did not interact with anyone, so he never did anything important while both Akane and Sigma really needed to be participants for their plans to work

So why is there only one timeline where nobody gets executed?

Carlos and the cast creates a timeline where VLR happened to kickstart ZTD, but it won't happen now.
It's a loop of different timelines that eventually phases out VLR from actually happening in the History ZTD ends in.
Delta made that two realties would just happen and ensure his birth, then he makes the Decision Game to make a perfect timeline where he succeeds.

I actually assumed it was Delta. Since it was Kyle in VLR, and he's Sigma's son like Delta was. Also since Akane puts on the robe in the VLR route and follows Zero's information to set up the moonbase, then it'd stand to reason that she'd probably use the morphogenetic field to contact him in the past and give him information too about the AB game so he could replicate it and give her the idea, and allow both her and Old Akane to plan out the true route.

I honestly thought it was a good twist. In 999 Zero is Akane, the girl the MC is closest to so that trains the player to suspect even their best friends. In VLR Zero in the shelter itself is just a computer system and even the killer, Dio, is a victim of the machinations of outsiders, so the player can now conceive that the mastermind is an external force.
The blind spot for the third game lies between those two points. Zero in ZTD is a participant in the game, but he's hidden from the player by the most sneaky method of withholding information- the characters don't acknowledge him, and why would they? He's a blind old man in a wheelchair. To the player, suspicion would automatically fall upon him because a useless, mute character would be obviously Zero, but in the real world the characters wouldn't even think to suspect someone who's obviously disabled and useless and whose existence they were already aware of. So they show that by using the perspective of the story to hide his existence, without having him literally come out of nowhere.
Q's always there, he's even referred to in dialogue to hint at his existence. But you don't know because you're playing the game from the perspective of people who wrote him off days earlier.
I like that and the reveal was cool. If you quote my post and say I'm retarded that's fine too. My motives are complex, after all.

Well that's the thing though. The game's pretty solidly from the PoVs of Carlos, Diana and Sean. They don't show him because he's not registering on their interest. Diana and Carlos don't know anything about Zero the matermind kidnapper, and Sean is a robot who could easily be programmed to not notice Q easily.

Translating the 5 symbol code into a 4 symbol code was bullshit. I thought 5 symbols next to each other meant you had to multiply them? The math switching from being multiplicative to additive really messed me up right in the middle of the puzzle.
I had to literally look up two puzzles. The glow in the dark code under the drain cap. I had closed the drain cap because I realized I was going to have to flood the place, and had no idea what I could have missed.
Next, I had to look up "Bird cage" since I had been typing "birdcage" and just couldn't understand what it wanted me to do write.
Finally, I didn't understand the pills/sorting the fetus puzzle at all, so I just brute forced it.

The fragment system just leads to seeing the same thing over and over. Seeing a bunch of unrelated deaths doesn't develop the story in an interesting way. The decisions are weak because unlike the previous games, they have no relation to the story flow. Making a decision has no impact because what you'll see next is just a matter of what random fragment you choose, not what decision you made. You can't make a choice and stick with it until you reach and ending or a stopping point. And controlling all of the teams removes any kind of tension in the games that pit them all against each other.
