OP here, you're right, what you see in my list might not be my favourites but let's say when i think of a game i really like, skyrim pops into mind, battle music usually makes me think of DMC, so that's why things you see in my list are what you see.

Honeslty, picking A favorite game is pretty hard, and it depends on the situation and your philosophy of how you're allowed to pick.
For example, I'd probably have to say my favorite game is Warcraft 3. But that's thinking back on all the custom games I played on Battlenet, and battlenet is sadly hella dead these days.
My favorite game doesn't exist anymore.

I typically don't play games to experience a story or identify with protagonist characters. They're usually just vehicles for me to play the game, I don't care about their motivations or morals or whatever.
That's why Gordon Freeman is so great.
Villains get a pass from me because the game is largely about them. Breen,Marcheand Armstrong are good villains, because they have defensible positions that you could actually find yourself agreeing with.
