So, /v/, convince me why I should be hyped for Xenoverse 2. The first one was pretty mediocre and was a broken mess. Seeing the gameplay footage of the second game, I see that a lot of issues have been ironed out, but it still hasn't grabbed my attention.
It looks to be another rehashed game, but with a slight boost in graphics. Hell, they're even reusing the same boring music from levels like the Kai planet, which is just pure laziness. The combat system and fighting seem as casual and shallow as before (you literally just hold right trigger and a button for any move which is casual as fuck). They're also rehashing the same, tired DB story yet again with slightly variations. I really doubt this game will get over a 72 overall score out of 100.

They're fixing the biggest issues with XV1, the complete bullshit RNG and Super Saiyan Ki Spamming.
New characters from movies like Cooler, Slug and Turles. Characters that should be in the game like Dodoria and Zarbon, 19&20 and hopefully the forms of Super Buu that were missing.
They're fleshing out all of the races to make them even more distinct.
They're making a lot more "What-If" stories that we'll take part in, instead of just watching it happen in cutscenes.

No, the movement is different. Hard to explain but it's more tank-like and slower to strafe and adjust height. The movepool is also sort of restricted in comparison, and no beam struggle. Still good but if you're looking for a Tenkaichi clone this isn't it

Only up to Resurrection F. XV2 was already completely mapped out and finalized before Super got to any of it's actually new material.
However, they have also said they'll be supporting the game with updates and patches (and inevitably DLC) until October 2017, so we'll likely get the tournament and Black arcs at some point after release.

He didn't "forget" it dumbass. Trunks is supposed to have his mom's hair color. In the manga it was purple but the anime made Bulma's hair blue without doing the same to Trunks. When designing a Trunks for Super Toriyama just followed his own rule and matched Trunks to his blue haired mom. He did the same for Kid Trunks but Toei ignored that and made him purple haired.

By all means his timeline shouldn't even exist anymore. It's a bad future where everyone but Him, Bulma and Mai are dead. And have been dead. This is still from that tangent where Goku dies early on and all the Z fighters die fighting the androids. And with Future Bulma dead and Mai (not really) dead, Trunks literally has nothing left from his future so he has no reason to stay.
By all means he should stay in the present where things are nicer, and there's no way for Goku Black to go back and make things worse.

They honestly should. They are far better than the Funimation ones, with the exception of Goku as he's pretty much a pure comedic character in their abridged series.
Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Cell, Freeze, Zarbon, Recoome, Ginyu, Gohan, Android 16/17/18/19, Dr.Gero, Bulma, Tien, Shiatzu and Kami are all legit good though.

The biggest flaw of Xenoverse 1 is the one no one talks about.
Fighting styles. Each race only had 1 way to fight visually. If Xenoverse 2 can bring multiple ways to beat the shit out of your opponent with each race, it will be amazing.

There is too few standard combos on the game, you just repeat them ad infinitum. Gets boring fast, especially considering how grindy the game is.
