I actually managed to figure out the number symbols with ease, and wondered for like 10 minutes what the card battle table was used for, like I thought it needed to be used with nucleus opening or something when it was just a place to test the numerical values of symbols that were easily deduced even without it. And that whole conversion thing was the only place where I just constantly went in and out of the puzzle just to see the hints characters said, because I didn't have any idea how to deal with the nucleus code. Then I approacehd the nucleus AFTER getting the symbol hologram and BOOM it opens and reveals the four symbols and the room is completed and I feel like a fucking idiot.

I'm playing VLR, and my only real complaint so far is that it's difficult to understand why certain things change between timelines. After picking the yellow door, Tenmyouji picks the opposite choice as you no matter what you choose. And what caused the events of Clover's ending to happen when they did? Are these ever explained or is it just bullshit to add more interesting story events to different paths?

I started doing that then thought "there's no way something so tedious could be correct, I must be missing a hint." I wasn't missing a hint at all, I just had a retard moment and didn't know the symbols were literally numbers even though it said so in the book. I just thought they had values relative to one another, so I was trying to figure out the relationship between human, moon, and star. It was only when I was at the breaking point and arbitrarily assigned numbers to each symbol that I figured it out. I blame the fact that I was playing nonstop and low on brainpower.

The issue with ZTD is that, to some degree, you what you're getting into, though the violence did get upped to compensate a bit.
I think another part of it is the series becoming more openly sci-fi. Contrast with 999, which built up the appearance of reality before smashing it to pieces at the end.

The only Q passes are "age", "eye", and "self". All three of those keywords could in a sense apply to both Sean and Delta, which doesn't really say much about either of their twists.
The biggest reveal that is made obvious by these passes is that Phi is a twin and the child of Sigma and Diana.

The "Q" mentioned by the announcer dies along with Eric and Mira as a result of the team votes and the acid button. He can't accompany the others in those paths and his disappearance should seem suspicious if he was with them before that. Zero outright says that he's dead in some timelines.

This is exactly what ticked me off the most, the lack of a new twist with a proper impact just made everything feel not as great. When the last ally/betray vote thing happened in VLR, I freaked out full speed. Immediately when it showed flashback about the Jupiter line Phi said I was like "oh shit oh shit" and when the vote results showed up I went "OH SHIT OH SHIT". It was freaking incredible and the ride just went to the end full speed and I've never had such a wonderful plot Twister being played on me.
