I was trying to play from my school's internet which blocked Dueling Network so I had to use a proxy.
I got banned from a Garry's Mod TTT server for being too good of a liar and betraying a mod's online girlfriend. I have a very flat tone of voice and basically everyone I say sounds true so people believe me no matter what. I trick this dumb bitch into being on my "team". I "protected:" he the whole round and then literally stabbed her in the back when I had the chance. That's how the game works. But the new teen mod was spectating and it was his gf. So I got permanently banned.
It was reversed and he was removed from the mod team because the admin was on my friend's list. Garry's mod drama ensued. Fucking Garry's Mod.

I was playing as Tracer on watchpoint, I ended up using Recall at one point and it ended up putting me inside the payload and it would not move.

Bans are handed out left and right on ss13 servers these days. Joined one of the "hardcore RP" servers and queued up as a bartender bot. Force fed two assistants insane amounts of booze, making them need to constantly have to go to the medbay. It got to the point where they tried to escape me, somehow managing to get aboard the mining station. I had them in a dark room and was ready to kill them with alcohol poisoning. Posted the rap sheet for a top staff member. I don't know specifically what the story was, but it was a sex crime, and his younger sister was involved. It's entirely possible that he did nothing and got an unfair sentence, but he was a massive douche so I didn't care.
Last ban I can remember and care about was from a minecraft server (I got banned from quite a few of these but this one was unjust and wrong).
[s]I played on this server more than almost anyone else and rose through the ranks. At some point I got found out for stealing from my faction or something dumb, I think the way it went down was me getting kicked out of the faction for some retarded reason (I was at least half of the faction's activity) and me taking all the resources I deemed 'mine' from the chests the faction leader put them in after stealing them from me. After a lengthy chase across the map because I was found out, in which like 6 people participated from multiple factions which weren't allied in any way, they banned me.[/s]
SHIT I remember now. I killed some faggot admin for being a faggot, took their stuff, and didn't give it back. My faction leader was a friend of that faggot I killed and kicked me out of the faction and took all my stuff. I didn't like that so I snuck in and took all my shit back and ran away with it, but got found out during the process.

I played it a few times many years ago. (Many years? Wow time went by) I say played, but it was more like "let my friends experiment on me on goon servers". Fun stuff like being shot into space, being turned into an alien only to die to Officer Beepsky, running from my friend who was a wizard/alien psychopath trying to gut me.
Anyways they made me log on one day, and I got a technical role that I knew nothing about. This was like my eighth game. I looked at my inventory which had some tools I didn't understand. I said in ooc "what the hell is this shit", intending to follow it up with the tool name, but I was permanently banned pretty quick.
My friends said nobody said anything afterwards. I stopped playing after that, since that was the goon server era.

There are some bizarre threads that stay up for multiple hours at a time while actual video game threads get deleted for whatever reason.
Not that I mind some of the /an/ threads here, and the /co/ ones. /v/ for whatever reason has some good discussions on most things non-vidya related.
this was probably back in 05 or 06, whenever the first blizzcon was. blizzard had created a forum specifically for blizzcon, but it was inaccessible without knowing the URL. one of my WoW friends ended up learning of the URL somehow, and he and i just flooded the board with thousands of spam posts. so about six months later, blizzard opens the forum to the public and there's hundreds of pages of just random spam, most of it mocking game balance.
so we got perma banned from the forums.
the only remnant i have left from this event is this tiny as fuck thumbnail from an old photobucket account.
oh and i get another account perma banned for doing literally the same exact thing the next year. i think they stopped doing it that way after that.

I went to appeal and to report him for abusing his authority and the guy was the one who answered my appeal (denied of course) for no fucking reason. And the "anonymous" report never resulted in anything, no GM would get demoted for abusing anything.

People give Riot a lot of shit (and rightfully so), but what they don't mention is that the other game is equally bad if not worse in some respects. You know the phrase "I have no mouth and I must scream."? PlayingDota 2 on US East is the closest thing to that in real life. Contrary to its name, it's 90% Peruvians or other South Americans despite the fact that they have their own server, and not even a shitty one at that. I guarantee you at least 8 players in every match with only speak broken English at best, Spanish only in most cases. The report system is also completely automated, to the point where certain popular streamers would troll their friends by reporting them for no reason other than that they pissed them off because they figured out that two reports in two subsequent games was enough no matter what. They "reworked" the algorithm but knowing Valve, it was probably some lazy shit like "same shit, but the same person reporting twice can't trigger it". Combine subhuman Spanish-speaking snot guzzlers with the power of democracy and you can send anybody to the Low Priority gulag because you didn't get a lucky triple crit on someone as PA or some shit. Corruption is almost always a problem on private servers. Feenix died because the staff was corrupt as fuck and taking massive profits off the server as well.
Nostalrius also had rumors of GM abuse but nothing was confirmed. One of the top guilds on the server was basically immune to being banned for using bot scouts for world bosses. GMs would ban the bot accounts that were in the guild but never attempted to ban anyones main accounts from the guild. Some of the top guilds also had very suspicious drops in raids like getting thunderfury bindings weekly sometimes both in one week (they were a fucking 3% drop rate). There were also rumors of the staff being paid off by the chinese to allow them to sell gold on the server. Again besides the botting scouts none of it was confirmed and was mostly rumors.

Well I was actually pretty into that for a while, and I would frequent the forums for strategies and such, and on their very website was an ad for Evony. The same game.
This was no ordinary ad however, this was far lewder. It was a steamy shower screen with a nude figure obscured behind it, saying something along the lines of "come to me - Evony".
I posted a picture of that ad, an advertisement for the very website I was using, on their forums, saying how odd it was.
And I got perma banned for "sexual content". For posting a picture of ONE OF THEIR OWN ADVERTISEMENTS.
