Bloodborne has more emphasis on being aggressive and constantly attacking where in dark souls although you can plsy it more aggressively your movementjust isn't as quick and your attacks are sluggish. The MC in BB swings their weapons as if they have training with them where in souls games your character is generally a nobody who swings their weapons as though they scavanged.

Other than that, I'm running pretty smoothly with occasional deaths here and there, but haven't really struggled so far. I'm using STR build with Dark Knight Greatsword (which I luckily got from my very first knight in road of sacrifices), starting Knight armour and no shield. Is it gonna be hard anytime soon?
Btw I beat DS2 once, played a couple of hours in DS1 and over 200 hours in BB

The roll has shittons of i-frames and costs Bloodborne levels of stamina and Estus chugging is quicker. There's probably some other junk I'm forgetting but just those changes make the game very forgiving.

Yeah, I've noticed that no shield run is much easier here than it was in ds2. Overall dynamic is very bloodborney, which helps I guess, considering how gud I got there.

The problem with the "more aggressive" playstyle BB claims to have isn't really practical. If you keep up an attack for any extended period, like Dark Souls, you will get your shit stomped it, forcing you to do the whole Dark Souls style "circle around the boss till he swings, slap once, get out of the way, rinse repeat" strategy

Some anon on here described it pretty well. Once you've played it so many times, going through the game essentially boils down to muscle memory. The wonder is gone now, I feel like I've explored the game to it's fullest minus a few weapons I haven't tried.

You're meant to hit them in the head. They stagger after a couple of UGS swings then you can go for a critical attack. Also they have like no bleed resistance.
