The only times I've ever seen people kicked were people in G-Rank with no armor skills and Blademasters with 600 Defense in a 140 GQ room. Nobody cares about your weapon or specific build as long as you contribute.

When 4U came out the demo didn't give you anything. Capcom released a starter pack during launch week that gave you some items and the mario outfit in advance.
They handled their online content pretty well in the west in my opinion. Really looking forward to see what they do for Gens now that MonHun has more presence on the 3DS after 4U's success.

There are two different ways to use GS
Earplugs and crit draw are mutually exclusive, so one is earplugs+focus+normal damage skills
The other is draw attack specialization with focus, crit draw and punish draw for anything where earplugs aren't important

I was watching a video and this one guy with a hammer did like a 200 fucking hit combo or something and spend ages in the air. Last time I played a MH game with a hammer you ran in, bonked them in the head once then rolled away and hoped you got to do it again sometime soon.

Loses one or more moves from the default moveset, some weapons suffer greatly for it, some not at all it just depends. Hunter Arts charge faster than any other style. 3 Hunter Arts.

Loses one or more moves from the default moveset. Gains a jumping dodge which is slower but carries you farther (and I think has more iframes by default?). Air dodging into a barrel/player/monster catapults you up which allows you do to unique aerial attacks. Can only equip 1 hunter art.

Loses one or more moves from the default moveset. Dodging/Guarding just before an attack will hit you causes you to do a Just Guard/Absolute Evade which allows you to follow up with special attacks (or allows you to reload and apply a temporary damage buff for guns.). Can only equip one Hunter Art.
As for what moves are lost for each style for each weapon, I don't remember. You'll have to look that up.

You can't go right into a burst from shield thrust anymore.
Striker makes it a huge cunt to get a red charged shield so it's more trouble than it's worth.
Aerial outright removes the chargeable A attack.
Adept is by far the best as in SnS form you get a Just Guard and in Axe form you get an Absolute Evade.
That and its had it's KO values on Impact Phials nerfed and it's damage just in general nerfed. Adept is still super fun in my opinion, and I didn't notice the damage nerfs really making a difference.
Not sure what the values are on element phials or if they're going to be preferred now.
Still a fun weapon.

From my time with the demo I find Guild is the way to go with HH. Adept is alright since the attacks after the dodge do help you set up more songs while getting damage in, but more often than not it also takes me away from the monsters head. HH already has a lot of mobility as is but Ill keep trying out Adept since I like dodging. Striker and Ariel are eh.

Gunning doesn't feel good until you're in endgame and you have guns and armours worth a shit. HBG with the right setup is legit overpowered because nobody would play it otherwise and LBG is great for status support but I enjoy dumping crag and pierce into everything regardless of the gun. But its still kind fo a hassle to get into since unless your friends dont mind being item caddies you need mats to make more bullets out on the field and such.
The guns they give you in the demo are shit for the monsters available.

Know the correct distancing for pierce shots to get all their hits in as effective range (screen shake).
Remember effective range is only for raw damage so if you're using elemental rounds don't stress about it as much.
Use those Poison/Para rounds.
Siege mode on HBG is nice but it takes ten years to set up and get out of so don't be stupid about it.
Adept on HBG is extremely nice for invincible dodges as long as you time it right.
Know that 9/10 times the most vulnerable part on a monster to shot damage is the head.
Shoot the monster in the head and trust me you're pulling as much damage as the rest of the party, HBG fucking rips.
Don't bother with sleep for now since you can't change your quick chat to let people know you're loading it.

some weapons really compliment aerial style. Aerial Greatsword's charge is super fast and Aerial Insect Glaive gains that super fast pole vault while not really losing anything so there's little reason to use Guild.
You don't use Aerial style for mounting since the resistance is up on it a lot so you'll be mounting maybe twice at most in a battle. It's more for hitting hard to reach spots more easily.
I find that Aerial's least complimentary weapons are ones that basically transfer a ground move to aerial, but that move is still preformed on the ground, just started in the air. So Swaxe and Longsword. Hammer is kind of dumb too because it's literally impossible to pull off a level 3 charge (where GS's is modified to have a faster charge)

I normally play a dude with mostly LS. What do you guys recommend I learn with a huntress in MHG? Everything else seems really complicated. Hammer seems the least complex but is risky by the face and can't cut tails, dual blades also work on a meter but are clipping toenails, SnS feels weak, bow is a pain to control, guns are expensive and seem a little weak solo . . .

Tails are for nerds, and playing adept hammer you can be hittingit on the head 24/7. I really feel the "rhythm" of a fight the best with a hammer, everything feels really well paced out with 99% monsters in regards to how long the window for attacking is, the timing on rolls, etc

To be fair, there seems to be plenty of hidden boosts. For a while Lance didn't do well in TA until they found out that the charge did way more damage in Striker. And now it's getting top times.
Then there's shit like Striker DB getting faster demon dances, and Striker CB getting extra red shield damage on top of the more obvious lunge guardpoint. I'm not sure if Striker GS and LS get any subtle extras apart from the style's standard additions, but they are the styles used on Gold Zinogre TAs instead of Guild.
