If you haven't yet, I would highly recommend playing the Infinity series, Uchikoshi's other series of VNs. The first two, Never7 and Ever17, suffer from pacing issues due to Uchi trying to balance between his mindfuckery and more traditional romance VN gameplay. I still think they're still great games despite the flaws though. The next one, Remember11, is pure Uchi at his best though. It may be my favorite of his games. I have yet to play 12Riven, his last entry, but I hear it's good as well.

I just beat the game. Filled in all the dots. Got all the cheevos except quest files and getting all trophies. Still no epilogues. Did I goof it up?

The underlying idea for the story is good but the writing is bad. Part of it is fault of the translation which just has an unnatural feel to many sections of dialogue, but another part is that there simply isn't enough dialogue which undoubtedly occurred due to budget constraints of being unable to animate/voice them all. I'm sure half of the intended script ended up being cut because it didn't feel fleshed out at all.
It's really difficult coming from a game like VLR which had a ton of narration and interchange between characters, to a game like ZTD which characters only say pretty much what they need to say
That said I don't think it's a bad game, it just looks bad when compared to the other two games, especially VLR

Not that anon but I think the problem lies in how Uchi just can't decide how he wants Shifting/time travel to work in his games. The morals on shifting "issue" seem to point towards there being infinite timelines with all possible choices, so, the only issue with bootstrap paradoxes is entropy and there's no stopping Zero's plan since there's an infinite number of universes where it happens and he succeeds.The problem with this is, if you take it to its logical conclusion, it's simply impossible to alter a timeline. Shit will either happen or not happen. You can't save a timeline, you can just "make" one where you are the savior, but all that is is you jumping to a timeline that is destined to be saved by you anyway, so the cast may as well just cut the middle man and jump to an unfucked timeline where they are kings of the universe and be fone with it.

One can even assume Aoi sets up the "first round", which saves Akane, which lets her set up the real save or whatever.
But how the fuck can Delta cause his own birth? If no one is around to force them to fuck the first time, he is never born. No other timeline causes him and Phi to be born either, so it makes literally no sense.

The bad end where you got the code for Sean's head and he was asking "why am I the one here, and he's the one in there" with Zero giving insight into one of his motives was probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire game, but man did the Zero payoff let me down.
Also, before Sigma and Diana got it on, Diana's descent into madness and alcoholism was legitimately more unsettling than any of the gore that the game tried to do acid bath aside.
A lot can be said about how hamfisted the twists were or how easy it is to make fun of out of context dialogue, but it fucking nailed quite a few character moments.

You have to focus to shift, jumping randomly could just put you into a body that's already dead.
Most times they shifted in distress, they shifted to situations seconds before they would immediately be killed or die if someone shifted into them. The swapees would have no idea what's going on and instantly die before they could even subconsciously react. It eliminates infinite shifting and 2mind1body stuff.

There are no do-overs. It is infinitely easier to make the decision to save two billion by killing six billion people when faced with your own incompetence.
There probably ARE paths where he manages to find the terrorist, however we are locked into viewing the timelines where he doesn't because he fears failure. ZTD is essentially Delta's method to realizing the timelines that lead to his success.
