Do you guys think it is cool if I got a USB to Gamecube adapter for emulation? How is it anyways?
For now I can emulate on my main PC, which has a 3470 and GTX 970, I am sure that I can run it just fine. But I have a lower end PC that is on my TV, currently rocking a Pentium 1.8GHz and 1.5GB of RAM, but I planning on upgrading it to a C2D E8400, and 4GB of memory.
How would it perform with emulation if I got those upgrades?
ALSO, how do we play together? Never heard of that for emulation.

Ok, so compressed isos are compatible with uncompressed isos over netplay. Air Ride ran at 60 fps with some stuttering with two players, one compressed and one uncompressed, which is within the margin of what's normal. Can't tell if the compression had a minor effect, but it's at least playable.
Compression might have a larger effect on games with larger differences, though.

So I've been thinking about seeing if I could get The Sims: Bustin Out to work decently on netplay, would anyone be interested in helping me test it? The main two things are that I'd have to send you the memory card, because it's a game you can't just load without one, and whenever a sim takes a shower or something, the censor makes the framerate shit the bed, but checking the skip EFB access box(under graphics > hacks) fixes that by getting rid of the blur.
I just mainly want to see how it works out actually netplaying, so if someone wants to grab the ISO (the US version, the europe one kept corrupting the save), and piss around on a family in freemode for a little while, and just try doing random shit to see if the game breaks, that'd be pretty cool.

Speaking of unlocks, if you want to start games with everything unlocked, GameFAQs has 100% saves on a lot of these games. Custom Robo and SMB2 for sure. They come as .gci files, use this guide to slap gci's into .raw dolphin memory cards: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-convert-gci-gcs-or-sav-saves-to-raw.385808/
If the rar archive download on that post gets shot down by Windows Defender or whatever, just try again, it's false positive. There's not even an executable in the archive. After you have the .raw with the data on it, just mediafire or mega that shit to everybody else who's playing and have 'em mount it in the same memory card slot before you boot.
