I have been enjoying the game, about fifteen hours in. I haven't had the full party for all of five minutes yet. They really teased me with the ability to use a ship for a little while, I guess it was saving me from myself because my gold and exp gain was way slower during that time.

There is a lot of backtracking for sidequests and I fight a large majority of battles along the way, it eats up time. I haven't had to grind once but I did farm for a few minutes to get 10 ebony for a quest. The world is pretty small so farm like I said, a lot of backtracking.

Took me 29 hours and I haven't done the secret dungeon. I also skipped quite many side quests and that of course means I forgot half of the specials. I didn't even mange to unlock the skill to open the blue chests

There's nothing to get about the combat really. It doesn't fly half the time. It tries to do a rock, paper, scissors type deal but doesn't account for the fact that battles often become clusterfucks and enemies are capable of doing their guards/strong attacks incredibly fast before you can react. Oh and bosses can't even be interrupted from their strong attacks so that system goes right out the fucking window. Ranged characters don't even have to pay attention to the system.
The only thing you need to do is build up cancels and then use a skill/magic for more damage. Some characters have weird timing on cancels though.

Now if its a single enemy to focus on ,then it can be easier to focus on the rock,papper scissors, aspect, but in enemy encounters on the field or multi boss battles shits hectic and its better to just run out of the direction of things than try to gaurd and counter, but they are nice to use just to feel like you are skilled and shit if you can pull them off at the correct timing, which isn't that difficult cause you can just mash anyway.

Even though im at the start of the game(when you look for the enemies hideout) its interesting enough to keep me playing it and the combat is fun enough to not get boring over time and the soundtrack is great.

I feel like Fiore plays worse than Myuria did even though early fiore's doing better damage than early myuria. Like Fiore takes a hell of a long time to chant a spell and have it come out, where you can start a long range spell on an enemy hitting relia in the face and it has plenty of time to run over and use a strong move and slap fiore out of her spell just before it comes out and cancels it. Meanwhile Myuria could juggle sit in the air with her spells, even if they did piss compared to melee

The PS4 version added new characters, scenarios, party size, and the ability to choose which fairy pairs with which character. Basically, there is a lot more freedom to create the parties that you want.
