So I should play this game on easy difficulty on my first playthrough?
I heard there's a frustrating time limit and easy kinda makes it less frustrating

You've got 13 days of ingame time to beat the game and do all content.
It takes less than 6 to 100% the game.
The game gives you more than enough time to 100% it, you have to be literally braindead and fuck around on purpose to not be able to 100% it.
Not to mention IF you somehow fail, you get reset back to the beginning but you keep your entire level/inventory/quest progress anyway.
So no, don't play on Easy you fucking morons.
If I remember correctly you can change the difficulty any time in the game. Also you get a lot of things to help you increase/stop the timer.
Doing quests adds more days and you have a skill that stops time for a while and it can be recharged fairly quickly. A tip would be if a quest you're doing is locked due to the time just work on another.

It's fine on normal. You'll feel anxious about the timer at the start when you're unfamiliar with the battle system/world map/questing, but eventually you'll probably end up with extra time. Well, at least I did.

You should play easy for sure, if you want extra challenge you can try going normal on your first gameplay, though I should add normal on this game is very challenging and will have you prepare for every encounter you are going to have which would be hard for your first playthrough.Also don't worry about time limit there is an ability choronostasis or something that freezes time and just keep using that until you get yourself 50+ sidequest all the main quests completed, this way i finished everything there is in this game before clock could even reached day 4.Then I just slept the rest of the time in a inn without a worry.

Yea you are right i should say i did everything game allowed me to do before the day 7 and 10 day mark, so not all the side quests required to unlock Ultimate Lair.You probably can't do that before day 7 at least.

They are all worth buying, worst game in the trilogy is FF XIII because it is very linear for the first 15 hours or so.But even then XIII is not bad it's still fun.
