To oversimplify things it was very much a shittier Fusion, from the linear level design to the emphasis on monologues to the inclusion of Adam to even taking place on yet another sequenced, abandoned space station. Sure, there's no X-parasites or SA-X but like I said, shittier Fusion. Also, it was way more in line with the 2D games mechanically than the Primes were. It still didn't do it all that well but at least it was a more faithful approach on paper.
