Rainbow 6 Siege is real neato, got about 300 hours in it, Terraria is worth it if you haven't played the last major expansion(1.3?)
Arma 2 is still good for warfare(TvT territory capture/elimination with basebuilding) and goofy "life" roleplay servers which you can sink a ridiculous amount of time into.
Factorio has multiplayer and can keep your inner autist satisfied almost forever.
Risk of Rain is good 2d sidescrolling collectathon roguelite goodness.
Interplanetary is good if you have a bunch of people to play with, it's scorched earth in space.

I tried it, even the initial challenge bump was pretty damn boring. Pretty environment, immersive as fuck game, but the surviving/crafting part was boring as fuck. Only exploration was interesting, but that was constantly being hindered by my characters need to drink/sleep/warm up.
I get that that's the whole point, and I enjoy that in other games, but not in this one. I mean, there's a pitcher on that table, but I can't take it to get snow inside and melt and drink it? Instead I somehow have to find an alternate way to get drinking water? How fun.

Dying Light was pretty enjoyable to me. It took about 40 hours to finish side/story quests in the first portion of the game. If you're scared easily like me, then you'll be scared often. All in all it was a decent time killer.
However, I felt that "The Following" (expansion) portion of the game was garbage and only played a few hours of it before quitting (did not count in my 40 hour tally).
The Long Dark is neat but I was bored after a few hours. Hardly anything has changed for like 8 months and I'm pretty sure they said story-mode would be out around last Christmas but just keep pushing it back. Plus they said it was only going to be around 4-5 hours in length. Overall, I regret purchasing it.

WOTS3 is kinda boring honestly.
WOTS4 has much better combat and characters, although a smaller map.
Which frankly isn't that bad, WOTS3's map is full of empty spaces.

Drop the pixel indie shit. I've heard Necrodancer is pretty bad as well. STALKER and Psychonauts are great (get SoC if you haven't already, it's better than CoP imo). Pirate VtM due to the developer being killed by the ones you're giving money if you buy it
