Man thats quite the downer. The first lbp game is still in my top ten games of all time
>>
We had the bait thread yesterday, its only in japan and the PSP edition.
>>
>>343401574
It's a good thing I didn't buy lbp3 even when it's on sale.
>>
If the broken mess that was Little Big Planet 3 never happened, I might be sad.
>>
Holy shit, LBP3 was that bad?

I still remember the threads when it was announced that "SONY WON!"

First two were great, even the Vita ver. was good.
>>
I won lbp2 a day earlier than release in a competition.
>>
>>343401461
Who cares? It's literally Sony's Minecraft.

Nobody plays LBP in Japan.

>create LBP
>try to create a child's game
>sony's latest biggest icon
>playerbase consists mostly of adult people
>ignore this and try to pander to children even more
>despite this LBP2 is a major success and brings even more adults and less children
>LBP is now a possible all life fortune maker and the next Sony mascot
>"no, it's the children who are out of touch"
>let go of game and give it to third party shitty company
>they make a shit job and ruin LBP forever
>go work on Tearaway shit
>fail miserably because Sony is not Nintendo
>have to shut down everything

Is this the ultimate, dumbest company in the history of vidya?
>>
Thank god Sony gets 20,000,000+ PS+ subscribers to pay for serv....

Oh.
>>
>>343402219
>>343402669
What's so bad about LBP3? I haven't played it.
Did they do something completely retarded like getting rid of that one programming thing from 2 or something?
>>
>>343401461
>Sony refuses to make dedicated servers for their games
>this at least has the added benefit of games receiving long support
>they start closing games anyway to make room for other shit

Sony fans will defend this

No just Japanese business decisions like usual. You see this shit from Capcom all the way down to Wani magazine company. They just fucking hate good ideas.

The online is completely broken on 3.
>>
>>343402893

>game is literally 4 hours long
>new characters are gimmicky
>one of the 4 main characters, the bird, uses the SAME BUTTON to both swoop around quickly and to grab
>this makes it impossible to play any Bird level in co-op, which is literally the whole point of the game, since you will keep grabbing the other players and dying
>10 fps

And the list goes on

I've literally never ever been able to get one online game, the online for this game is 100% truly broken in the most literal sense, I do not understand how we are not entitled to refunds for a broken product

Sorry PC fag, I don't think that's quite how it happened.

It's basically a budget title, online literally doesn't work, it costs £10 now but you can only play single player meaning around 70% of all the content is impossible unless you have 3 friends over and 4 controllers

>little big planet's online multiplayer MOVEMENT is server sided

Just think about this for a moment.

Sometimes you get connected to japs or europoors and you get to enjoy a 5 seconds delay to ANY action in the game. From jumping to turning or moving. 5 seconds. delay. on a fast platformer with timed thing.
>>
>>343402669

>Nintendo fans want to believe this so much that they make this shit up

Why take the time typing that if you don't know anything? I don't understand why you would just make up and assume all that.

Well, to begin, a lot of LBP2 player I've met in game are children. And what I heard is that Media Molecule didn't want to work on any more LBPs.

I have only ever played Tearaway at a gaming expo, but I had a positive impression of it, and I don't remember negative press about it either - quite the opposite actually.

Exactly why games like these should be on PC, the only aspect Consoles games should copy from PC games is the ability to set user servers.

So why is this happening?
>>
got LBP with my Vita but never even played it and never really got what the series is about

it was marketed as some kind of sandbox but also had a single player adventure and other stuff to do, was a bit confusing
>>
>>343403767
Fuck, that reminds me I never finished my Sonichu-inspired level series. It must have been...three years? Christ.
>>
I hope media molecules' Dreams is the next little big planet
>>
>>343402669
>>go work on Tearaway shit

yep. sony is stupid as shit with their IPs. Why the fuck not work on a 3D LBP game that's actually proper game and not just a front for the map editor ?
>>
Media Molecule's next game Dreams will replace LBP.
>>
>>343405183
SO MUCH STUFF TO DO I AM CONFUSED.
Good lord, you're fucking idiotic.
>>
>>343405536
No fuck you, Tearaway was great.
>>
>>343405183
it's a sidescrolling platformer that has an editing tool to let you create levels yourself and publish them online for others to play.

that's it.

What's that ps3 game where you can turn your ps3 into a server for the game for free?
Why don't other companies do this?
>>
Every time I visit Media Molecule's site I get confused. Several pages offer free website assets (The Tearaway Unfolded page in particular)

And at the bottom there's a link for "Web Nerds" that lists all the frameworks and shit they used to make their site. It's kind of neat that they do that

ayy sony as always shutting down studios and servers
and people keep buying their shit
>>
>>343405789
>No fuck you, Tearaway was great.

Actually I am not doubting that, I intend to play it at some point but WHY THE FUCK waste the LPB IP ? It had solid gameplay that Sony higher ups (shuhei yoshida ?) decided to limit to a totally childish array of levels (for lbp 2 & 3) that functioned more as a show and tell for the editor.

take all the ideas of tearway and combine them with lbp and make LBP 3D. but no, Sony fucked up royally and they seem to keep doing it. Dreams looks like a big load of nothing.
>>
>>343401461
I fucking loved these games. Sad to hear that.
>>
>>343406745
No, fuck you. You would just call rehash if they were to make yet another LBP. Just at least wait a fucking while, I don't want the franchise to just go to shit after each installment.
>>
>>343401574
Seriously? LBP3 isn't even 2 years old
>>

all games are getting completely killed off in japan
in eu only the psp one is getting killed off
the rest stays alive, but no-one knows for how long
>>
>>343405789
>Tearaway was great.

lbp 2 and 3 were laughingly easy. I don't even know why Sony did that. I remember Crash when I was a kid and it was hard as nails. Is tearaway hard at all ?
>>
>floaty
Nintendogaf pls.
>>
>>343401461
It is only in japan
>>
>>343406192
The focus is still on the creation tools but there's gameplay not too far from LBP. Besides walking and jumping they've shown you can place items in the world and interact with things with the wisp. You only had walking, jumping and grabing in vanilla LBP.
>>
>>343409185
>is tearaway hard at all
there is no challenge at all

Sony really loves fucking their autistic fanbase in the ass don't they?

You shove that PSMOVE controller up your ass yet?
