Here's how the refund system works: If you played it for less than 2 hours and have owned it less than 2 weeks, you get a refund regardless of the reason, no questions asked. Anytime after that, it works on a case by case basis.
As long as you don't have like 50 hours in Anno, you should be fine.

Well, you have two options to bypass that: you can use winauth, which mimics the iphone mobile authenticator, no phone required but you do need a valid numberr. Or you can craft the items into a badge and sell whatever goodies you have. Might not get it in time for the sale, but it'll still make you some money. It's what I'm planning on doing.

No, it sucks. I refunded it myself yesterday. If you have a PS2 or backwards compatible PS3, track down the first two. 3 is a disappointment compared to them but 4 is just LOL SO RANDOM garbage trying to be Saints Row or some shit with worse gameplay than the others. If you have to go with one on PC, go with 3. The PC versions of them aren't great ports though on top of it all.

Torchlight 2 has weak NG+ and garbage multiplayer. Even with the post-game "infinity maps" you'll get bored of your character.
TL2 is dead to the developers. They raked in their neet-bucks tacking on multiplayer and never touched the game since.

The pirate sections are REALLY good, but you will still be forced to play through the shitty 'Assassins Creed parts', and with that all of the awful tailing missions and bad combat. If you're ok with going through some shit to get to the good parts go for it.

If you're looking for an ARPG, try Grim Dawn. I've heard it's well worth playing especially since it's currently on a decent discount

Some people find solo stealth easier because the pugs for stealth always have one shitter that completely fucks over and turns it in to a loud heist. All heists can be solo stealthed, but it's extremely tedious and takes much longer than having 3 other players.

Like, the version of the game I bought was from GMG or something and had the two content DLCs packed in for some reason as well (without all the extra xp and shit the Definitive gives), so I just played and enjoyed them on as a bit of extra content after the main game, but I honestly would not pay a cent to get them individually. One is just a bit more martial arts (enjoyable, but probably not even 2 hours worth of content), the other is just running around in a small portion of the main world map, collecting shit and fighting more dudes.

In some ways yes. But the combat system is pretty bad compared to Oblivion and Skyrim. If you've played those already and never played Morrowind, I highly doubt you'd enjoy it because it's going to feel really dated and clunky. Awesome world with unparalleled freedom though, you can literally kill every NPC, even major ones, and completely fail the main quest or fight the final boss within minutes of starting. You can do crazy shit with magic and enchantments (enchant clothes to give you the ability to fly for example). An amazing game to explore and fuck around in. It was my first Elder Scrolls back on the original Xbox and I fell in love, but I'm not blinded by nostalgia and can recognize that it has aged poorly in some aspects and the combat was improved in later games. Worth checking out, but understandable if you find it hard to get into.

Outlast is similar, but much faster paced and you have to run away from the enemies sometimes. Soma is all about janky first-person stealth, and if you're spotted you're probably going to die.
Soma might have had some jumpscares, I don't usually remember them because they don't really do anything for me. The parts that actually work are more of a slow-burning horror. I don't want to give too much away.

The combat is fucking AWFUL. Like, so bad I'm surprised CDPR didn't get shuttered. You literally click, wait 2 seconds, click again, repeat until enemy is dead. Other enemies seemingly ignore you while you engage in combat.

Yeah, there's a lot more ambience than situations where you're evading enemies in Soma. Which is good, because the enemy evasion segments are the weakest parts of the game, even though they're very tense. I found them more frustrating than anything.

There's only a few really bullshit encounters, but the worst ones do shit like corner you in a dead end and leave you no choice but to die. It's a shame because the good parts of the game really don't need monster chase sequences, and it basically pretends they didn't happen for the most part.
