Don't give up. I main Little Mac and I learned to deal with Clouds that do nothing but spam safe aerials and run away to charge limit break. Try baiting and dodging until you find a common flow chart and punish CLoud if he burns his second jump. I don't know Pikachus options but I'm sure theirs a way. Also Pikachu is small as fuck so he is hard to hit so use that as your advantage to space around Cloud.

Countering the Aether is the best for any character who has a counter. Followed by those who have a good spike like ROB to hit at the apex of Aether. Going offstage to Aether an Ike's Aether is riskiest and doesn't always work, I just went for it since I usually missed my edgeguarding attempts and needed to recover that way anyway.

Well I planned it once I was down there but that isn't my first choice for an edgeguard if I can help it. You should also do Up Throw to Fair or Nair at low to mid percents instead of Aether. Then use Down Throw at mid to high since it can combo to a killing Nair at higher percents and Down Throw also kills by itself.

Only Cloud players have fun in a match where Cloud is involved. I don't mind him being strong as fuck, but the fact that he's near impossible to punish on top of Limit Break circumventing all of his weaknesses just makes fighting him nothing but a goddamn chore.
People say Cloud is all fundamentals which is nonsense, Mario and Pit are all fundamentals. Cloud is Ike with the speed of Falcon and a projectile that can kill.
