I watched Samurai Shodown OVA and it was fucking terrible. I'd argue it was even worse than the Art of Fighting OVA, or at least just as bad in a different way. Hell, I'd go so far as to say King of Fighters Live-action was more entertaining.
After that, I watched Samurai Spirits 2: Asura-Zanmaden and it wasalright as its own story and, arguably, pretty good as part of a franchise. Some of the fights, though a bit short, were pretty neat.

NerdJosh has been playing Nakoruru for like 20 years. If anyone was going to figure out how to be an asshole with that character it was going to be him. On top of that he's a really smart dude and learns games FAST. People are quick to say that Nak is busted because of how annoying he made that character look, but if anything he was just the only dude who knew what his character was supposed to be doing. Even then some of the stuff he was doing wasn't real, a lot of his slide pressure was unsafe and people weren't using guard cancel roll to punish the jump back.
